Description
Me & my opponent will link one emotional song per round. The songs are meant to be sad and sentimental, things of that nature. Whatever song that applies to you as emotional, put it in your round. Have fun. The voters will vote for whoever they think had the more emotional songs.

Round 1
Published:
A complicated relationship song
Published:
Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven

-written about his 4-year-old son who died in a freak accident.

Round 2
Published:
Man! Thats rough

Published:
Never heard that song by Brandy.  Beautiful song.  Well played!

Round 3
Published:

This is one of my favorite songs from Ne-Yo. So much nostalgia, and it gives me good memories of the past (Nothing sad though. Good memories) I just love the song. But for whatever reason, it just makes me sad.

The Tears In Heaven song was really good and sad especially knowing the story behind it. You can feel his everything in that song!

Man, this debate is depressing lol
Published:
Wow, that Ne-Yo song was brutal!  R&B has a lot of tear-jerkers.

Another music genre that has tear-jerkers is Country.  I'm not a huge Country music fan, but my pick for my 3rd argument is one of the exceptions.  This song came out in 1994 and I bought the album.  It was my first Country music album.

Watch to the end and try not to cry!

Round 4
Published:
Ah! *Grabs tissue boxes* lmao

I love everything about this song. It's hard to explain, it's just so real and she's just talking about her life, career and family. Her second verse is sad because she talks about her cousin's death.
Published:
Wow, that Nicki Minaj song!  If I had known about that song I may have picked it myself.

There appears to be a generation gap in our songs.   And to keep with the generation gap going my next song is from a group called Bread.

You could pick anything from Bread and it would make you cry, they wrote that kind of music.  But I found this song tug at my heartstrings the most.  It's about a girl named Aubrey, a shy boy, and unrequited love.  I was that boy.

Round 5
Published:
Wow I haven't heard of Bread before but that was a beautiful song and it was soothing.

My last song is none other than Aaliyah - Rock The Boat

Not only is this song amazing but the reminder of it just leaves you broken. It's her last music video/song before her unfortunate death along with her entourage in a plane crash. R.I.P Queen Aaliyah.

Thanks for the debate!
Published:
That's a sad story behind the Queen Aaliyah song.

The song for my final argument...

Thanks to my opponent for an excellent debate!

It was entertaining while it lasted. Most of it took place in the comment section to another debate. If wanting to read it, here's a quick reading order...

They apparently think that I have some alt account voting in my favor which simply isn't true. No concrete proof, just assumptions. He's just my friend and he counted Franklin's vote but Ragnar spread lies about me to bsh1. So dont pay attention to any of that. That has nothing to do with me. People just love to push my buttons on here and be problematic because they are unhappy with their selves. So now because of that, I'm being banned. All because of Ragnar. I don't mind though because these bias mods never come to my aid when unfair things that does not go with CoC happens to me. Don't care because I planned on quitting this site. I don't deal with people like this. Sorry for the inappropriate behavior, thanks for the debate.

You're welcome. I don't normally vote on these as I'm an elitist jerk who insists they are not real debates... However, countering lame attempts to cheat and penalizing conduct still apply.

Would you mind if I used your "Song Battle" theme for a Debate? I'm think the opposite of your Sad emotional battle. Songs that make you happy or laugh?

Reason:
Better songs but King's Nicki Minaj song made this closer than it otherwise would be. I love Nicki and that song is beastly.
The Final song from simgaphil is one of the greatest soothing-emotional hybrid type of songs in the history of music.
