Description

Since Joe Biden's surge on Super Tuesday, and the upending of Sanders' frontrunner status, there has been quite a lot of complaining in the more progressive corners of the internet. Namely, a lot of people claiming that "Now Trump is going to win", "This will be a repeat of 2016", as if Bernie had better chances. I'm making this debate to demonstrate that these worries are unjustified, born out of far-left echochambers on Reddit and Twitter rather than any logic or evidence. Biden has a far better shot than Hillary. And even Hillary, who only lost by a narrow margin, most likely had a better shot than Bernie. There is virtually no evidence that radical left-wing candidates do better in elections than moderate ones in the US, and plenty of evidence against it. Joe Biden is not a perfect human being, as lefty Twitter is happy to remind us on a constant basis, but he is the man to beat Donald Trump.

This debate is not necessarily about which candidate's policies are better, or which candidate has more personal flaws and foibles, so I would ask that my opponent refrain from focusing on these topics, unless they can argue that it directly ties into their chances of winning the general election. Political debates of this nature always seem to deteriorate into mudslinging, so I hope to keep this discussion civil, intelligent, and empathetic. Thank you for listening!

Rules:
1. No new arguments in the final round from either side
2. BoP will be shared between debaters. Each side must attempt to prove that their position is correct.

Structure:
Round 1 = Opening arguments
Round 2 = Rebuttals
Round 3 = Rebuttals
Round 4 = Final rebuttals and summary

It looks like Trump will face Biden. It should be an interesting campaign with Biden dealing with issues and Trump dealing with conspiracy theories.

Joe Biden told a Hispanic immigrant who didn't like deportations to vote fro Trump. Biden's a loon.

@Phenenas

As a British Social Democracy/Democratic Socialism supporter, I believe more in the policies of Bernie Sanders, but Joe Biden would probably be best suited to beating Pres. Trump at this point.
