Description

Disclaimer : Regardless of the setup for voting win or lose, The aim of this interaction, Is for those that view it, Learn and or take away anything that will amount to any constructive value ultimately. So that counts as anything that'll cause one to reconsider an idea, Understand a subject better, Help build a greater wealth of knowledge getting closer to truth. When either of us has accomplished that with any individual here, That's who the victor of the debate becomes.

Absolutely nothing wrong with me owning you as a slave.

As you being a slave a mine, I have control and ownership over you. It is my choice which allows what you will or will not do.

Now why is there nothing wrong with that ?

I won't give away any spoilers. You'll have to see this in the debate. If you really think about it, you may be able to figure out why there's nothing incorrect about myself being a slave master.

You'll be up to the challenge of trying to explain why it would be wrong on its surface as it stands.

For questions or comments, please, tell me you know what to do by now.

Argument:

This wasn't even close, sorry to say, Con provided literal mountains of evidence to argue a very impactful prong, such as slavery being against the constitution and therefore legally wrong, this is technically enough to declare Con winner, bu Fauxlaw didn't stop there, he provided a three pronged attack, even attempting to anticipate counters, and address them.

Sources:

Again, mountain of evidence, these equated to 18 sources on Con's side, all providing evidence to his claims, but impact too, whereas all of Pro's claims are assertions. With no evidence to support them.

Reason:

This is something I call a foregone conclusion debate...

Detailed academic sources, such as immediately proving something wrong with slave ownership with US law due to the constitution (a word pro only used once, vs. twenty-something from con)... The challenge that at one time it was not the law, which is about the weakest Normative Kritik I have ever seen; lacking both implications and alternatives.

Under the BoP of this resolution, for pro to win there need be "absolutely nothing wrong." Therefore, that that one decisive point, further digging would almost certainly be without merit.

Reason:

as far as I can see, pro made no arguments to fulfill his burden of proof. Con proved in a philosophical, morality, finance and personal way that slavery is terrible and that it infringes upon persons' rights and freedoms by its very definition. Perhaps Pro meant a master-servant relation, as he is a foreigner and likely doesn't understand slavery, but he never clarified this. As such con wins in a landslide.

Sources to con because he was the only one to use sources, not to mention a vast amount of them.
