Waive. Good luck.

Why should voting be mandatory? What's your case?
Round 2
Published:
Read the rules and the terms of the debate before accepting. I am con and arguing that voting should not be mandatory. You are pro and have the burden of proof to show that it should be mandatory.
Published:
Excuse me, I misunderstood your position. You can go ahead and reopen the challenge back up.

I don't know if you ever seen the movie "Rocky". The "Apollo Creed" character won by default. He wasn't satisfied though because he didn't actually beat Rocky. That's exactly what this is here, a technicality. Why not boast over a real knockout, a t.k.o., food for thought.

Virtuoso is being somewhat of a dick to you IMO considering that it's clear you're new here and didn't quite catch onto the side switching stuff and whatever but there's not escaping it. Virt sacrifices honour, gains some rating, good for him or bad for him depending which matters more.
That's all to say, life is tough.

I win the debate by default since you FF and violates the terms of the debate

What is the "vote con" about? A debate hasn't taken place.

I might take this over the weekend if it hasn't been accepted by someone else.

I think that if you don't care about politics by the individual's standards, you shouldn't vote. It saves you the effort and the only people that should participate in the government should actually care. This way, the people that don't care don't screw the representation of Congress.

Full Forfeit and Misapprehension by Pro.

Criterion Con Tie Pro Points
Winner 1 point
Reason:
Pro debates for Con's side. Pro explicitly admitted this and points out Con's lack of honour but lack of honour is only hurting site-rep, not immediate debate record. It's the trade-off.

Criterion Con Tie Pro Points
Winner 1 point
Reason:
Forfeiture.
It seems the pro side was attempting to learn about the topic, rather than engage in a debate. Mistakes happen, but a win by default is still a win.

I feel bad for contender because they did not realize what it is they were arguing, but they did not make any arguments and the instigator of the topic did not forfeit and the contender did, so I give this to Con for the debate vote.
