It all depends on tax policies. The States is known to side with rich people, namely banks, and disregard the poor and the middle class, so I am not surprised about the tremendous inequality going on in this country.

It's not that complicated. Do you want less rich people and more middle-class families? Put more taxes on the rich and use these taxes in more social projects.

No, it is touted as an incorrect way forward for having ecologically long term sustainable future for humanity.

Poor >----divide growing------< Wealthy i.e.  is not healty pathway forward for humanity

Poor <---fat middle---> Wealthy i.e. is the most viable pathway forward and has nothing to do with your "evil" classification/terminology

They're unproductive if government doesn't give them social assistance.

And yeah, it's fair to side with rich people when it comes to finance wars, terrorists and dictators.

The actual case is more often the opposite of this sentiment.

The 1% helped society significantly for their wealth.  If it wasn't for the 1%, we would be living like the Amish.  Who made computers?  The 1%.  Who made most to all of the artificial things that are good in our life?  The 1%.  The 1% delivers technological progress to the world.  They should not be punished with communism or taxes for that.

Yes, sure, this is the case in the US where there is such an obscene inequality growing more and more. Americans don't care about it, of course, as long as they keep wars in the Midlle East.

By the way, this kind of tax policies are applied in social democrat countries, especially in Europe. They understand that their people are an important asset for their development, which is why they socially support them, giving them a fair quality of life like good education, good housing, good healthcare, good social security. All of it at a low cost.

Venezuela has income equality. Everyone who does not have a gun is starving. Thank you Karl Marx.

Also, Europe stopped caring about "their" people the moment they allowed an invasion from the south.

The USA also has the richest poor on the planet, as well as the largest percentage of people in the middle class. If that means we have to suffer the pangs of jealousy from billionaire over-achievers...well that's an easy decision for sane Americans to make.

America is one of the few places where exceptionally gifted people are allowed the freedom and opportunities to reach their full potential.

Pol Pot would not approve.

I guess you didn't get noticed American middle class has been declining since the 90s, which means only one thing, that inequality in the US is getting higher since then. Actually, Canada has a bigger middle-class than the US in percentage, and in this country despised by Americans people pay a lot of taxes.

You would care more about equality in your country, no matter that you're just a bird.

Lol that was not my claim, but it's a nice strawman.

BTW income equality does not mean prosperity.

Ask Pol Pot how that turned out, Karl Marx would be sad.

Marxist nations = equal outcomes.

Once we secure the southern border from the hordes of unproductive people fleeing socialist dystopian shitholes like guatemala, honduras, and venezuela, wealth will increase in America, and so will outcome equality. A win-win for both marxists and libertarians.

Lol we can already see the agenda behind your bullshit nonsense post.

People are either born into wealth, get lucky playing the lottery, or work their ass of for their money.

People who aren't born into wealth and/or don't have luck on their side need to work their ass off for money. But they don't like working hard, do they? Might as well steal the money from the people who busted their ass to earn it because you're lazy.

South American policies are just a copy of European's. The difference is that in South America there is far more corruption than in Europe, and you can see it in Venezuela where this imbecile of Maduro does and undoes the country at will.

If Europe can give their people low cost public education, public health care and housing, I don't understand why the fvck the United States cannot do the same.

Not exactly Europe though. All of South America Was influenced through Simon Bolivar with hispanic governance, which focused on limited private ownership and government control of most things. Personal liberty wasn't even on the radar.

South America and the USA gained their independence around the same time, but South America has yet to understand the value of individual liberty, individual responsibility, and the right to exist without government control over your life. South Americans have an incredibly hard time acquiring property with an insane amount of government regulation. Even if they manage to gain the title deed to a property, the next government regime can simply take it away. And you can forget handing anything over to your children in many South American countries. When individuals have no access to capital, and they have no collateral to loan against, they don't have the opportunities that Americans had. South America was mostly run by elites in government with much less freedom or control from individual citizens. This transcended into your dictator tropes..Peron, Che, Somoza, Pinochet, Diaz, Santa Anna, Chavez... and countless others.

So yah it's a crappy place if you love individual freedom, but the income equality never translated to wealth for any of the countries, because wealth isn't created by simply printing money and equalizing everyone's income. That is how you create inflation like in Venezuela. Wealth is created with productivity, which can be achieved either through the whip or through the freedom to produce however much you want and be allowed to keep most of it, no matter how many jealous people want to rob you. I don't prefer the government control of the whip.

America can't have good education because the government runs most of it. It isn't cheap either because teachers are allowed to form labor monopolies so they don't have to be competent or efficient. (almost half of a child's education dollars goes straight to wasteful administrative costs).

California and New York can't have cheap housing because the elites in government operate like South America with hundreds of regulations, bribes, and kickbacks involved in the process of new home construction.

America can't have affordable healthcare because insurance companies and the AMA doctor's union have paid off the government to restrict competition so that the insurance companies can drive the costs up with no fear of cheaper alternatives, and the Hospitals get to dictate exactly how those funds must be spent. Like the education system, healthcare in the USA is mainly run by monopolies.

You might see a few charter schools emerge to make a dent in the problem, but the public teacher's unions are strong enough to either shut them down completely, or restrict them to a tiny fraction of the education market. Similarly, local clinics are constantly suppressed by the power of the AMA labor lobby, and the insurance companies have no choice but to play along, or get their licenses to operate revoked by the state.

1} Trumpanzee can only envison a world that is controlled by free market, white{ Caucasian } market, black{ illegal } market etc...

2} Trumpanzees are anti-governement,

3} Trumpanzees are bigoted racists who can only envison a world haves and have-nots an doing their best to create a rule book{ government } that immorally benifits the haves over the have-not,

4} Trumpanzees envision have-nots as halves{ or less } i.e. half a person half moral, half complete, half successfull etc.

5} Trumpanzees can only envision a world of haves and have-nots with security walls, barriers, fences, barbed wire etc sperating those two classes of humans,

6} lack ability and hope for a humanity that is morally just, fair and balanced ---IMAGINE--- between haves less -1 < haves +10 > have more-1 i.e. a humanity that has geometry of an octahedron with fat middle girth <|>aka   have less < | haves | > have more

I don't know what Simon Bolivar has to do with all this. He was just a cruel dictator with utopian ideas that only influenced the northern South America (the region of Panama, Colombia and Venezuela). He is still despised by other countries, especially Peru and Bolivia, because of the terrible consequences of his actions.

South America and the USA gained their independence around the same time, but South America has yet to understand the value of individual liberty, individual responsibility, and the right to exist without government control over your life. South Americans have an incredibly hard time acquiring property with an insane amount of government regulation. You've got to admit the US constitution has its roots from French legislation, so it's not wrong to say that South America was influenced by European ideas.

What I agree with you though is that the ruling class in South America has been the main reason of our backwardness. That is what I meant when I pointed out the corruption as the main problem of South America, because it comes from the ruling class. Since the beginning these people have considered themselves as an ariostocracy, meaninig that they have privileges to make whatever they want with the land they inherited and the people living there. All this behaviour was passed down by their ancestors the Spanish colonizers, it's not surprised then that Spain is one of the most backward and corrupted country in Europe.

So yah it's a crappy place if you love individual freedom, but the income equality never translated to wealth for any of the countries, because wealth isn't created by simply printing money and equalizing everyone's income. That is how you create inflation like in Venezuela. I think you're misunderstanding what socialism is about. It's not about taking money from the rich to give it to the poor. That is insane, backward and stupid. Socialism is about giving equal opportunities to everyone, either rich or poor. The rich has easy access to good education and health care, because of the money, resulting in a high probablity of succeding in life. On the contrary, the poor doesn't have it, especially the education which is a tremendous tool to thrive in life.

And yeah, with a well educated and healthy people you can have a more productive country as you say. But for that, you need low cost education and health care.

That is why Europeans have fun of you Americans, because you lack of education.

Honestly, public education won't change in America until the people really want it to change.  America's problems are definitely 1st world problems and trivial compared to most nations. Johnny can't read because he doesn't have to read to support himself and his family. America doesn't have a starving class of people like other nations might have.
