I figure most "atheists" and materialists who converted from theism really HAVEN'T converted, they are just pouting because they don't want to behave themselves.

They are liars.

Rather broad brush. Are you making the "y'all just want to sin" argument?

Well, I mis-stated, you're not making the 'y'all just want to sin' argument. You're asserting that, not arguing it. You know this is a debate site. Let's discuss. Why do you think that?

What if someone converted from theism to atheism from a sect or faith that didn't have the concept of 'sin'? What would their reason be?

Actually, I guess I'm not sure what I expect, in another topic today you said you didn't necessarily care about what's true or what isn't, you just go by your personal experience and feelings. So I guess what personal experience or feeling led you to this conclusion?

Or, maybe a brain fart? Either way, you didn't think it through and decided to post it anyways regardless of how absurd.

I like it when the commies point at the capitalists and accuse them of being materialists when it should be obvious that they are both materialistic philosophies.

It seems to me that secularism and even atheism is the logical result of protestant scholasticism.

I doubt many protestants would agree with me on this, but they are obviously looking at this from a different angle than I am.

You figure wrong.

People often ascribe bad motives to those they disagree with because it helps justify your own beliefs, but it's intellectually lazy. It's much easier to say someone just wants to misbehave than to try to truly understand them.

Most atheists don't believe in God because they find there is insufficient evidence to do so. It's that simple.

Is there any chance at all that you will ever avail yourself of the knowledge of what atheism is?

It's not nice to call people liars janesix. I'm surprised at you. You generally have better manners than this. Also I would find it rude if I thought you were trying to tell me what I believe.

You cannot know what Someone else believes unless they share the information with you.

The key to unlocking the consistency of atheist thought is the realization that it is nihilism.

If God is real, nihilism is false. Certainly, God is real. As this is the case, atheist indoctrination is primarily focused on obscuring what it is that atheism actually means. The only way you can sneak a philosophy of "There is no truth" into the minds of those who believe in truth is to be deceptive!

Atheism is deception.

Again with all the unfounded assertions. This is ad hominem. You just don't want to discuss the real issue because you don't have an argument. The claim to prove is that God exists not that he does not. Deception is misrepresenting atheism for nihilism. I'm atheist but I don't believe there is no God. I believe we do not know. And many other do as well. Morality withstanding.

The Ultimate Reality by essence exists.

If you say otherwise, your problem is English comprehension.

Yet, within your posts it was found you had severe English comprehension problems, you didn't even understand the simple dictionary meanings you yourself were posting. Many wondered if you were a small child.

My premise is sound. We can not prove God exists. Whether or not you think I am indoctrinated it hasn't affected my ability to reason. Your beliefs shows your reasoning has been severely compromised. It is a valid argument.

That which you repeat over and over and over is not a valid argument. You wouldn't know a valid argument if it weighed a ton and dropped on your head.

Atheism is not nihilism.

Why should anyone take you seriously, when they know they don't believe what you say they believe?

Atheism is literallly defined in its relation to God.

As God is The Ultimate Reality, and you refuse to accept this, you are guilty of what you accuse me of just now.

If you do believe that God is The Ultimate Reality, then atheism is obviously nihilism or some arbitrary derivative of nihilism.

No, it is not. It is defined as the lack of belief in ANY gods. Not capital g god.

Non-sequitur and a bald assertion at that.

Lack of belief in gods.

Like I said, defined in relation.

Are you saying that you accept the existence of God, not gods?

Yeah, that's what I said. It's not a lack of belief in any ONE god. It's all gods.

"God" is a subset of "gods." How hard is this to understand?

Well then, in that case, what I say still stands.

There is One True God.

Interesting fact, early Christians were called atheists by the pagan Romans.

Darn those pesky epistemological limits.
