Generally I wouldn't think of guns as "more protection", maybe more fitting to someone. An AR is an excellent recommendation for women buying their only gun for home defense. They're affordable for the amount of precision you get from them compared with other semi-autos and comparable in price with a high quality revolver. Even the cheap ones probably aren't horribly inaccurate. They're less intimidating to some people. They have adjustable frames coming in all shapes and sizes. They are affordable to practice with, potentially more enjoyable for some. They will keep up with whatever she aims informally socializing with other people, and they are ubiquitous among professionals, easy for a novice to maintain in immaculate condition. A reliable gun you A) Have, and B) Can to use proficiently under stress, is the "better" tool for the job. 3 things 1. Reliable 2. In hand 3. Hitting center mass, or starting at the crotch (of the other guy) till they can find relative safety.

For a gun kept for home defense, probably in storage, if they aren't going to go with a shotgun or a rifle, I believe a revolver is generally superior to other handguns for fighting with your back against the wall, with grappling, beating, biting, gouging, hair pulling etc... unless they can otherwise safely carry something else, or carry it more often.

A college girl obviously needs to carry an AR-15 with her at all times, after all right wing rapists are everywhere, they don't respect any woman's right to bodily autonomy, women need an assault rifle 24/7 not locked in a cupboard.

Already addressed, all women in America should be given an AR-15 for protection from right wing rapists who demand that no woman has bodily autonomy and as the 2nd says they have the right to carry such a weapon without restriction.

I thought the SCOTUS says the fetus makes a transition to personhood in the 2nd trimester, although with limited rights...yeah I guess you're right since you can legally slaughter a 9 month old fetus.
