MY THEORY

I have this theory. I believe the brain reroutes power to other sections of the brain when part of the brain is broken. For example

  • talking part of brain 20 Volts of power.
  • learning part of brain 20 Volts of power
  • critical thinking part of brain 20 Volts of power
  • mathematical part of brain 20 g of power

This is an average brain. But lets say someone gets beat up and there talking part of the brain is not working. I believe that the power that was being used for the talking part of the brain would get rerouted to other parts of the brain that are working.  Because talking part does not work.

SO now the brain would look like this after the power from the broken talking part is rerouted

  • Talking part of the brain 0 power
  • learning part of the brain 25 power
  • critical thinking part of the brain 25
  • mathematical part of the brain 30

Now that is my theory on why we have socially weird geniuses.

It would explain stuff like this

I believe that when a part of your brain is not working. The power that would have been used in the broken part is rerouted to other parts which work.

I believe this article proves my theory correct.

wow
Power likely has little if anything to do with it. The number of neuron connections is a significantly larger factor in determining intelligence than brain size.

I am pretty sure that is how ben carsons supplements work. But i do not think that is that simple.for example a man was beaten half to death and the guy wakes up a genius at math

Since the guy can not talk that good and has brain damage because he was beaten to death. where did all the power/energy that went to the parts of the part of the brain that was damaged. It must have went to the mathematical parts.Which is why he is a genius in those parts of the brain.

Think of Sheldon from the big bang theory. The guy is retarded but a genius  at math.clearly no brain power is going to the retarded parts of his brain.Clearly all the brain power that was going to the retarded parts has been rerouted to the mathematics parts

Men with significantly larger and pro-active penis's, inevitably make the better porn stars.

Same principle, different physiological development.

Voltage is not a measure of power, it is a measure of electric potential/force. Watts is a measure of electrical power. The total power consumption of the brain is around 20 Watts. The voltage of an individual neuron is around 0.07 volts. But neurons work in parallel rather than serial, so the overall voltage drop of the brain (if such a thing is even meaningful) would be extraordinarily small.

While talking, critical thinking, and even math may be concentrated in certain regions of the brain, they aren't distinct and isolated and there is overlap. These regions also aren't all the same size or have the same consumption of resources. Nor is there a single "learning" part of the brain as the entire brain is an organ that "learns."

This is an average brain. But lets say someone gets beat up and there talking part of the brain is not working. I believe that the power that was being used for the talking part of the brain would get rerouted to other parts of the brain that are working.  Because talking part does not work.
The power would be related to the overall consumption of power by individual cells. If some of those cells stop working, the overall power consumption would drop. That said, in response to injury the brain has been known to establish new pathways around "dead" areas.

This theory fails to account for the fact that people with significant brain damage aren't geniuses, they are people with significant brain damage that require enormous amounts of care and support to live and function in society.
If you want to make a computer run faster do you run more power through it or do you adjust the architecture of the design?

If you chose "more power" then congratulations, your computer is now fried. If you chose "adjust design" then congratulations, your computer now runs faster.

You are right. You are so right in fact, that I dragged my son outside and curb stomped him.

When the cops approached me, I explained to them that I was creating the world's first "Silent Einstein".

They gave a collective "oooohhhhh... ok" and allowed me to proceed.

I can now proudly say that my son has an IQ of 69420. If only he woke up...

The funny thing here is that has kinda happened.

3 Guy beat up by 1 men  to near death.Woke genius

a guy shot in the head the guy wakes up an amazing genius.

clearly all the power that was going to the part of the brain that has the bullet in it.Has been rerouted to the parts of the brain that are working.

What makes him a genius, exactly? Can you link to any of his research papers or advances in mathematics? Seems to me his claim to fame is: "draws lots of shapes."

--> @drafterman
The YouTube video title has the word genius in it and the video has lots of big words that I don't understand so the guy must be a genius.

Savant syndrome, resulting from head trauma. Usually affects memory rather than the whole gamut of cognitive function.

To be a genius, one not only needs to be able to acquire, store and reproduce copious amounts of data.

One also needs to be able to assimilate, adapt, and develop data, thereby advancing the understanding and application knowledge.

Watch the stupid video. After he became a genius he got many brain scans by many scientist to discover how he became genius watch the video.

This is your theory. I expect for you to be able to explain it. What, exactly, makes him a genius?
--> @zedvictor4
why do people with savant syndrome really smart. They have brain damage mostly in memory. They should not be able to store amount of information and reproduce a bunch of information.

It only makes sense if the energy from broken parts are transferred to working parts.

lets say bob has 1000 energy in talking part of brain. and 1000 in mathematics part of brain.Bob gets brain damage.Bob can not talk.Bob now has 0 energy in talking part. But that energy has been transferred to the mathematics part now he has 2000 energy

i know the volts of power but this is a ruff draft

i did not know the correct terminology. So i Babied it down to make it understandable.I do not know the name  of thousand of parts of the brain. or how they are powered.Without this knowledge i can not explain the process without replacing  those with familiar thing.  this is the easy way to explain it

Except without using proper terminology it's just drivel. It isn't "understandable" or a theory at all. It's just random words strewn on a screen.

--> @drafterman
it is very understandable

Bob

  • Talking part has 350 power
  • Mathematical part has 350 power
  • Memory part has 350 power

Bob gets brain damage.Talking part and memory is broken and has 0 power all the power in those area have been rerouted to Mathematics
His brain looks like this

  • talking part 0
  • Mathematical part has 1050
  • memory part has 0

The power from broken parts has been rerouted to working parts

I am confused, is it stupid or genius?
