My identity shall be revealed soon.

Cause RM's back and he'll be collectin' my IP address and stuff.

I'm Gatorade or AvoidDeath. I've been on this site a long time.

Confusion via mystery and being louder when I guess right are essential components to what lets me know and reveal a lot more than the next guy.

The reason you are confused is that you are a person who remains unusually calm under pressure, this is also why you likely had to quit the site yourself. You see, people who stay calm and grit through pressure feel underwhelmed and thus unmotivated when working far from a deadline. The adrenaline of the pressure is actually an essential thing to perk such a psyche up. Conversely, Gatorade is a person who dislikes a lot of pressure and sees pressure as a necessary evil. He caves when faced with a situation that presents itself as potentially pressuring if he pushes back. He doesn't do this out of simple weakness or lack of foresight, it is actually because he is very sure he wants an endgame of mutual respect that he extends the arm of friendship.

If he were simply easy to get information out of, he wouldn't have bothered to hide it from those that demanded to know it. My presence is, or was, intimidating and unpredictable for him. He doesn't like that I easily spotted who he was. Unfortunately for him, he helped everyone narrow him down who would go back and carefully study who hasn't been banned by request vs who he denied being and how early in the site's history he claimed to be around. The only realistic alternative was Romanii, but Romanii wouldn't arrive like this, he'd be ruder, more entertaining/sensationalist and wouldn't have a description that's so repetitive.

See the moderation log. RM was banned at his own request. Any user can ask to be banned at any time for any length of time. If they wish to come back, they can either create a new account or send me an email.

That's confusing. I heard Wylted was banned for an eternity because he did something bad, so my mind automatically thought that RM did something naughty on the site but I couldn't believe it because he has always been a good guy. I thought there has to be some explanation. Then this is it. So this is how you can leave this site and make sure no one sabotages it.

Wylted's ban was also a ban by request.

I think it may have been accidentally deleted while we were in the process of redesigning everything. @Michael can you see what happened?

As someone who switched accounts, what do you think the privacy rules should be about such things?

We've had cases where user X assumes user Y is secretly user Z, and there are no signs of them being connected. We've had it were they are obviously connected but deny it to us. And of course cases were they admit to us that they're the same, but ask us to keep it secret to make it a proper fresh start.

I think that all users should disclose this information to the mods. It should be their choice to make it public.

I agree with you on that.

What about cases of clear credential matches, where they deny any connection? Specifically when a different user is worried about a feud with the old, so they don't want to be tricked into conversing with the new if they are the same.

And yes, we've dealt with that exact scenario. Before that one came up, it was pretty easy to just tell people there's no evidence.

You ought to give them your evidence against them. If they refuse, you could give them a light temp-ban. I doubt they'll do it again. Some rare cases, of course, could be an exception.

2 people already found out who I was before this.

Thanks for your input. Settled on not specifically referencing such outlier cases in the new CoC. What do you think of this drafted line?

You need to expand on specifics of the last phrase. Otherwise, it can ironically be the mods who ban based on that.

How about basically inverting them? If not, then any suggestions for better wording?
