Since Crocodile can make threads here for other subforums, I will too.

This is a thread where if you post in it, I will describe your strategy of debating to you in a comedic martial art metaphor manner.

Oh you know what it didn't even register in my brain until I saw this thread that crocky had his thread in the main subforum. Yeah, he should probably have made it somewhere else.

The Melodic Dwarf

Small in stature, most take him to be a decently easy opponent to defeat... At first, that is. Once they begin to inspect his muscular logic flexed on the regular and capacity to play a tune others dance to or get infuriated by, they learn to steer clear of him. Consistently happy during the battle, the melodic dwarf intimidates the opponent by the very fact that he feels no need to intimidate them at all. His sheer readiness to not only issue challenges at times when the opponent appears psychologically fragile but furthermore, to take each and every point raised and address it, build on it from his perspective and dissect the opponent's take on it, make people understand that this 'lazy' and 'small' exterior is nothing but an illusion, the dwarf throws the guitar aside, stops humming and smacks brutally at prime times in the battle. Do not underestimate him or he will reveal to you his true potential. Otherwise, he's happy to sit back and play you like a fiddle in a more casual manner.

Nunchuck Ninja

Is he going to debate? Is he not? You don't know, not even during the fight. The nunchuck ninja comes as he pleases, moves sweft and aims for many small 'jabs' with his nunchaku. You do not know you have been hit at first, it is subtle, gentle, yet the more you strike back, the more his capacity to dodge and get faster and more furious pays off. Sometimes he simply decides the fight is bullshit and runs away but do not be mistaken, he has run to a more important conflict.

Noble Swordsman

Honest to the core of his being, the noble swordsman bleeds of honour. He engages anyone, it's both in a competitive spirit and in a jestful one. He doesn't care about losing and at the same time, he loves to put his all in the fight and wants to ensure that the better warrior is the victor in the battle. Do not expect anything short of brutal speed, significant agility and juggernaut-like endurance that snowballs throughout the fight. He does not relish in your agony as he defeats you, nor does he blame luck for his losses, he is noble to the bitter end.

Honestly more accurate than I could have expected, especially the above two lines. I know you make threads like this often and now regret not taking part in any previously, very entertaining read.

Muay Thai Enthusiast

You think you got it down, you're fighting against jabs, kicks, at worst some grappling here and there but the fundamentals are all set, right? Wrong. The Muay Thai Enthusiast comes out of nowhere screaming a shrill war cry, kneeing, leaping, elbowing, twisting and turning the debate in ways you didn't expect. It is not just his unpredictability that is dangerous, it's his work ethic. He will push up more times than you will, he will agonise over the exact angle of each and every motion. He practises a lot, he sweats and bleeds over it. If he loses the fight, he learns from it, he begs the opponent to explain why he lost and deep down, he enjoys the loss because it was an opportunity to work towards bettering his form as a peak debater.

@RationalMadman
Quietly Furious Feminine Phoenix

To understand how the QFF Phoenix battles, you must first endure what she has had to in order to become what she is. She has had to die over and over again, getting stronger and better slowly over time (some of her reincarnations were inferior to previous ones actually). She is ready to annihilate your 20 moves in 2 swift dodge-strike combos if your fundamentals of balance and agility are off. Her two weaknesses are endurance and not caring about the battle enough. The QFF Phoenix, if fully passionate about the battle and genuinely in the right mindframe, headspace etc to focus on it and endure every twist and turn it will take, is only capable of being taken down by extremely specialist fighters in their terrain. As she is fueled by fire, her weakness also lies in people who can 'quench' the strikes she brings very efficiently and readily while 'blasting back' suffocating her of the oxygen her fighting spirit needs. It is safe to say that this is one of the only warriors capable of sparring with the other extremely skilled ones who herself isn't very masculine and 'tear you apart point by point'. She also knows how to tone down her fieriness and can be very playful and gentle with lesser opponents, never wanting to be too sadistic in how she takes one down.

@Crocodile
I would say that you are in training and have not developed your style yet. You seem to have no consistent temperament, typing patterns or even structure to your Rounds. It's hard to stereotype or describe as a martial art. You're closest to Karate in that you debate forceful and ready to take hits, as opposed to dodging or grappling.

I'm not sure, I have never really formulated a strategy for my debates, I just find data that supports me and I lay it out and draw it together for a clear conclusion. In all honesty your ability to debate  issues with no concrete facts to work off of far exceeds my own. However, despite my lack of an answer, I am pleased to have been perceived as worthy enough to provide a rejoinder to a very powerful question.

There is only one debate that shows your real skill, and your activity and profile show that you are rather into forums.
