I had the pleasure of meeting the super beautiful First Lady of our great nation. She was funny, kind, and treated us like real people.

To my great honor, I was able to assist on some small errand for her. What a privilege! My daughters met her too. It was a thing to remember for all of us. What a classy lady.

If only our president shared some of those qualities.

Always nice to have a faceman while you're getting your hands dirty with real work.

I quite like Melania, much to my own surprise. I think a lot of the hubbub out there about her is excessive, and that she's excelled in her role. Granted, she has excelled differently than Michelle Obama did (she also did a wonderful job), but different is not necessarily bad. It's nice to have a low-key first lady who, I think, has some moral values, esp. when contrasted with her bombastic, vile spouse. On her own merits, she gets an A- from me.

With the economy going the way it is, and foreign policy going the way it is, I think I'll keep Trump with just the qualities he has. Darlings of Europe are a dime a dozen. Good presidents are rarer and vastly more valuable.

She would have been a prostitute if not such a good escort for Trump. Think how the fuck he met someone of her ethnicity and accent. Think.

He probably was already boning her while divorcing his previous wife and 'fell in love' later on.

And no, her modelling job cannot be the full story, that's a common cover job for the top-end escorts of human trafficked stuff.

I've come away with a pretty nice impression of her so far. Her position can't be easy. I'm sure being tied to the Trump administration can be an ordeal. It can't be easy having to give public speeches in her second language, either.

She often kind of goes mannequin and looks lifeless and expressionless to me, and I find myself wishing she had a bit more of Trump's animation. But I suppose stoicism is how she stays composed and weathers scandal. I admire her commitment to keeping her son out of the spotlight and away from the media circus.

And I haven't heard her say a single thing about the opioid crisis that didn't ring true and get my nod as I listened to her speech.

I agree. It'll be nice when we can replace the current dumpster fire for one of those better presidents.

Then we can return to the days of high unemployment, a joke of a foreign policy, low consumer confidence, and a president who apologizes to the world for us being American.

I can't wait!

I don't believe the president is responsible for employment, consumer confidence, or the economy.

Yeah. But if those things were bad, we know the song you'd be singing. How is Canada looking?

The president has already issued plenty of Executive Orders deregulating labor.

1. “Two-For-One” – Reducing Regulation and Controlling Regulatory Costs - Nothing here about creating jobs, raising consumer confidence, or boosting the economy.
2. Agriculture and Apprenticeships – Workplace Impact - "May". Next!
3. National Council on Federal Labor-Management Relations Disbanded - Nothing here about creating jobs, raising consumer confidence, or boosting the economy.
4. ACA Roll Back Attempts - Nothing here about creating jobs, raising consumer confidence, or boosting the economy.

Yeah. But if those things were bad...
It's interesting you bring that up. I always see people taking credit for creating jobs and boosting the economy, but no one ever taking credit for eliminating jobs and creating recessions and depressions.

Isn't it amazing that apparently the president can only influence the work force and economy in positive ways, yet whenever something negative happens it's always someone else's fault or just mysterious "market forces?"

Weird.

It's the same reasoning for capital gains taxes...the government won't help you out when the market goes down.

I know what you liberals were singing before Trump took office, even if you'd like to now pretend you weren't warbling like songbirds.
If Trump takes office, the stock market will crash....
If Trump takes office, unemployment will skyrocket....
If Trump takes office, the economy will tank...
If Trump takes office, blacks and minorities will be burned in the streets...
If Trump takes office, he will lead us to war....

The stock market soars.
The new song liberal now sings, "Trump's not responsible."
Unemployment at record lows.
The new song liberal now sings, "Trump's not responsible."
The economy going better than even Trump predicted,
The new song liberal now sings, "Trump's not responsible."
Record employment for minorities,
The new song liberal now sings, "Trump's not responsible."
Yemen, Columbia, Syria, and North Korea cooling down,
The new song liberal now sings, "Trump's not responsible."

What does it matter what one says to people unconcerned with reality? You keep singing your little birdsongs. Real men who deal with reality will keep the country on keel.

No need for thank yous. It's called love of country. Patriotism.

(No bsh1, I did NOT advocate burning minorities in the streets. Please read my post before kneejerking)
