I want someone non-conservative to respond to this question.

While I think upbringing is an important influencer, I mildly disagree.

I was firmly conditioned to be an evil piece of shit Neo-Nazi, but either due to God or just a working brain capable of empathy, I rejected that even when it put me in harms way. It would be hard to get a worse upbringing, and here I am volunteering to make food deliveries during COVID.

Comparatively, my oldest brother started torturing and killing animals at a young age. I would expect him to be less horrible with a good upbringing, but I cannot imagine it outright fixing him.

Call it what you will, but for most I believe evil is a choice no matter our upbringing; yet there are some people who are for lack of a better term born without a soul.

Granted, this could be kritiked, as it's questionable if they should count as people.

If I don’t count them as people then it is no true Scotsman fallacy

The form of the fallacy, does not guarantee it is fallacious.

As an example, an appeal to authority isn't fallacious if it's a valid authority on the topic.

I want someone non-conservative to respond to this question.
    • "No person is created evil"  is not a question
    • Humans are born, not created.
    • There is no natural or elemental source of immoral or corrupt human behavior.
      • Plants and animals are never evil.
        • Therefore, evil is a description of merely human misperception, human pathology, human failure.

I'm of the conviction that every person is born equally "evil," (anyone who has had or has been around young children knows this) just some become more evil than others over time. You do not teach a young toddler to kick and scream when they do not get what they want, but yet they do it anyway. However, generally we discipline them, teach them right from wrong, and as humans we do have an intuitive sense of morality that we try to follow. So, in many ways, we simply keep our wickedness in check. But, when some of those moral/disciplinary barriers are removed, (for example, you can choose to ignore your moral sense until it depletes to non-existence) you get wicked people.

    Persons aren't created at all.

    Persons evolve.

No person is evil but some persons have malevolent character traits.

How do you know people are evolved? Science, history, etc are all subjective and history is naught but stories. How do you know our mainstream biology is correct?

There is strong empirical evidence via science that evolution via natural selection is almost certainly true. That's how I know.

If a person can't be born evil, can a person be born good?

People can have 'supposedly evil genes/nature/tendencies,
But depending on how they grow up, be good people.
. . . Anyone ever watch the Genetic Opera? Weird movie,
But I bring it up to say
    "You, I've mistaken for destiny
but the truth is my legacy is not up to my genes.
True, though the imprint is deep in me
it will always be up to me.
    Up to me."

For intents and purposes, practicalities and generalities, rules of thumb and pragmatism. Though.
I suppose some people could claim that a person could be born evil.
One see's that in fantasy often enough, 'evil races, with a tendency toward evil.
    Rambling a bit.
    . . .
Mm, no I take that back, I'll change my opinion to everyone is born neutral, but some people are 'very likely to go one way or another based upon their nature/nurture.

I know because evolution is a fact.

    Science is epistemically objective.

Our mainstream biology is correct because it has the most evidence and soundest evidence backing it up which is precisely why it's become the mainstream.
