When someone posts a post on my forum post without addressing me I still get a notification. That rule is not applied in debates. Why is that?

Well, because it's a half baked solution, truth be told. The logic that we have now is that you get notifications if you were mentioned or if you are subscribed to some forum topic and somebody published to it. But if you subscribe to the debate, it doesn't produce any notifications, because I still need to implement it properly.

It's not that easy, I am afraid. The thing is that every forum post text is a huge string that contains HTML and which is generated by the user when he or she creates a post, so in order to add this attribute, I'd need to parse the string first and then add it to each <a> tag, and I am not sure if I can find library to achieve that, that's why I need to do some research :)

Just out of curiosity, why do you have to parse the entire post? Couldn't you just amend the link function within the text editor? (This is pure speculation I have no idea how your website is implemented lol)

I believe I checked it a while ago and the library that I use for the rich text editing didn't support it but I will check it again because it would definitely be much more convenient than parsing the text haha

I've used the forum post but in the future I will be using the comment section.

Google docs is not for me. I use Word to complete what I want to type then I simply copy it over.

I am afraid it works only for the new forum posts, the ones that were created before I pushed the change weren't affected so it still works the old for them.

Oh, I thought it was obvious with the colors :/ But if I find a place where to put it, I will do, that's not a big task.

I normally get messages when something I was a part of happens on this site which is a good thing. Not all of the messages go to my inbox instead directly go to my Junk. I create a rule but then the same message from the same person ([email protected]) some of it goes to my Junk section. Only some of it. Is this a problem on your side or has someone pointed this out and you already have a way of fixing it?

Yeah, I'd need to do that but it will involve quite some work because they'd be some special case of the debates and therefore would need to be handled differently. But that's a good idea, thank you!
