Not stuck. Just not caring to move.
So you live with frogs and don’t care to move.

How does a Democracy retain it's values and traditions when others immigrate to it,
I suppose one would expect the immigrants or their children adopt the Democracies values, but that's only an ideal,
Though I suppose others might claim it's better the Democracy adopt the immigrants values.

Really a problem though, if a Democracy tried to expand fast,
If too many new citizens/lands are accepted, throws the Democracies values off, because of the new voters.

I suppose Dictators don't have said problem, given their enormous influence,
Not that I'd want to live under a Dictator,
Just rambling.

That is why they have a screening process for new immigrants.

If two countries merged though, like the USA and Mexico,
Probably a lot of contrasting opinions on what ought be voted on.

The reason for merging would be the mutual interest the outcome of the merge would benefit.

I wonder if it'd make sense to have a human preserve,
The way people sometimes worry about GMOs, ‘Forever chemicals, diseases, genetic manipulation, so on so forth.

Same idea as computer memory backups.

WWI people might ask if another World War is worth having for an allied Czechoslovakia.

Energy 'is a problem, but not only soldiers die in war,
Not that I think war is good or to be encouraged,
But there 'are reasons,
Moral, Strategic.

I would have put this in Greyparrot's thread, but I do not consider myself an edgelord.

. . .

I remember that I read, The Last of the Mohicans, as a child,
But I can't remember it,
Some women were kidnapped I think?

Also recall a movie version of it I saw as a kid once,
Only recall some line by a Native American about British men and their women.

(At this point in the original French text, Mr. Bastiat pauses and speaks thusly to all do-gooders and would-be rulers of mankind: "Ah, you miserable creatures! You who think that you are so great! You who judge humanity to be so small! You who wish to reform everything! Why don't you reform yourselves? That task would be sufficient enough.")

"We must cultivate our garden."

"Whosoever hath his mind fraught with many thoughts, his wits and understanding do clarify and break up, in the communicating and discoursing with another; he tosseth his thoughts more easily; he marshalleth them more orderly, he seeth how they look when they are turned into words: finally, he waxeth wiser than himself; and that more by an hour's discourse, than by a day's meditation."

"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
-Bruce Lee

"Ramiro II of Aragon was the fourth son of King Sancho Ramirez, and consigned to the church. Unfortunately, his elder brothers died young and without heirs. He was dragged out of the church under protest, married a widow who had an established record of healthy births, stayed around just long enough to sire a daughter, then betrothed the daughter to a trusted ally, and marched back to the church."

Of Frederic and Voltaire,
Just thinking about people fixing themselves, immediate area, before fixing the world.
But,
It's not really 'good, to be 'too withdrawn,
WW2 is a prime example of people failing to be proactive, due to the harms of WW1.

Of Francis Bacon,
I'm just thinking on how I like talking with people at times.

Of Bruce,
That such ought apply to the mind as well as the body, I'd figure.

Of Ramiro, just thinking on duty, expectation, varies through history, cultures.

Out of curiosity, is that from a one culture or a collection of cultures? I assume the latter.

Someday we will all die.
And none of this will matter.

But it matters now. Because we know that we won't die soon. Or we think. We could die in an hour. Or a minute. Or a year.

Life spins on the roll of a dice. Our actions and decisions could save our lives or destroy it.

Like dominos falling.

One thing affects another.

An unstoppable pattern that is only unstoppable because we cannot comprehend it or see it unfold before us.

HIPPOPOTOMONSTROSESQUIPPPEDALIOPHOBIA.
The best word in the English language.
It is the fear of long words.
So ironic. I love it.

It's from various cultures but frogs tend to symbolize the same thing. They're associated with fertility and luck. Such as kissing a frog will get you a prince. And the Chinese culture they put coins in the mouth of frog statues and face them east to bringing money.

Since I don't support the pre-2016 Republican establishment, but I oppose Trump's attempt to supplant it, does that make me an antidisestablishmentarian?

On the other hand, Trump and his supporters seem to have succeeded in supplanting the old establishment and in becoming the new establishment. So does that make me a disestablishmentarian?

No. Non-self-instantiable, if was a real word, would mean that I can't instantiate myself, i.e., I can't be the cause of my own existence. Of course, nothing can cause its own existence, so that word would describe everything. That's another was of saying that it would be a  useless word, which is why it doesn't exist.

How about a different word to describe myself: pedantic.
