After that impressive win over Derrick Lewis last night, I think fans are more excited than ever to see these two go at it. How do you see this fight going? It's been almost 3 years since Ngannou has had a fight go past round 1 or 2, does it matter after seeing Ciryl Gane looking fresh af in the third round after TKO'ing Lewis? Is the Muy Thai, the crazy conditioning and atheletism Gane have enough to take out Ngannou?

TBH I think Gane wins but I would love to see this fight happen soon. What are your thoughts?

Ngannou all day. Lewis is not the same level of challenge as Stipe.

Ngannou kos him within two rounds.

No, lewis won by decision back in 2018. Ngannou has evolved since then.

Like I said, it was in 2018. Ngannou couldn't even wrestle then. That was the same year stipe wrestled him into an overwhelming loss. But in March of this year, ngannou stuffed the NCAA division 1 wrestler Stipe and ko'd him in the second round.

Ciryl Gane has almost 2x the average strikes landed per minute and hasn't lost on a takedown. Gane is a whole different beast than Lewis statistically

RIght, I know he's improved but I am just saying judging they Gane won't win because Derrick is a chump or whatever is kind of flawed since Derrick beat him. And 3 years really isn't that long in MMA, considering fools like Aldo, the Diaz brothers, Herman, and many many others are still looking good 10+ years in.

I don't think lewis is a chump. He's super talented. He's just not as good as Stipe. And many fighters make leaps and bounds in only a year or two. Vitor Belfort had been a black belt in BJJ since before Jon Jones even started MMA and lost.

Ngannou just has the ability to knock anyone out, and his takedown defense, his only real past weakness, is now really good.

How do you think Jon fits in the picture here? Here's currently the twitter king, but not much action from him lately. He definitely won't take the Stipe fight, as the risks is high and reward is low, and he's said a couple times that he's only going for Francis, or whoever has the belt. I'm personally a huge Jon fan but fighting Francis is like fighting a titan.

Hard to say with Jon. He rarely doesn't impress me in a fight. I would say his time away from the Octagon hurts his chances but he's proven me wrong on that point as well. Jon is the GOAT, he is just extremely smart in the ring, and I would have a hard time betting against him in any scenario. I would love to see him fight either of these guys.

We haven't seen Jon at heavyweight, so the strength of a heavyweight like ngannou could surprise him. Way I figure it, Jon will try to strike with Ngannou bc he likes to beat people at their own game. I doubt he can take more than a couple punches from Ngannou though. It would be a real coin toss as to who would win that match up

Grown up  people knocking each other senseless.

Though some might argue that they were already senseless.

Fortunately there are people who do very clever stuff.

And then are the clever people who manipulate the already senseless.

Such is human development.

All sports can be diminished into seemingly stupid acts.

Soccer: Grown people kicking round ball at man between sticks.
NFL: Person crash into person and dive on floor.
Golf: Stick hit ball and into hole.
Tennis: Pointlessly hitting a ball at each other (why hit the ball if it's going to end up back at my end? Seems counterproductive)
Table tennis: The above but small.
Cross-country: Running in a circle just to arrive at where you started.
Archery: Flinging stick at a circular board.
Bodybuilding: Lifting, lifting, lifting, lifting.
Fencing: Jack Sparrow with a flacid sword.
Martial Arts: Fooling yourself into thinking that you are Bruce Lee.
Long Jump: Literally jumping.
Skateboarding: Eshays.
Javelin: Throw stick.

I agree entirely.

Though I would rather stick balls into holes than be punched in the head.....Or punch other people in the head, for that matter....Or watch people being punched in the head and knocked senseless and then cheer with delight.

But hey.... Each to their own and consenting adults and all that.

And not that I play golf.

I agree with you for once. I even enjoy to watch some of this stuff sometimes but I prefer a choreographed scene in an action movie over genuine MMA matches so I guess that I don't like the actual sport at all.

Genuinely relishing in people bringing others to life-threatening physical agony, even half-way there, is kind of worrying. I do genuinely believe that. It's not the bodily damage itself, the actual aim of the sport is said damage and that right there is the problem with it.

Oooh wow you beat the crap out of this other person, what a champ. Like, okay, good for you as a sportsman but as a person you need to question your life goals. I've never seen an ex-MMA type or even ex-boxer who really is that proud of the shit they did.

Mike Tyson was a god of boxing and look what he became, a quieter, smarter user of his wealth and fame; acting in movies and doing interviews for a living rather than beating the crap out of people, raping and eating ears. It's unhealthy the kind of aggression it breeds.

Would you say you'd be more into WWE (pro wrestling) matches more than MMA then?
