Is it possible yet to close your account? How do you close your account?

We don’t have a feature to close your account. We can ban the account, but that’s not reversible. Talk to bsh

No forum will ever delete accounts. Even if inactive they want that number of members to be high

It's not that we don't want to delete stuff, it would just require a huge amount of work to implement it properly because it would require to handle LOTS of edge cases. Not mentioning that it could mess up some debates or forum topics by deleting arguments or posts by the deleted user.

So most likely I'll implement a deactivation system that keeps the data, but somehow makes it obvious that the user has been deactivated, like what we have with bans at the moment, just a bit differently.

So all bans are perma-bans?

Some/most bans are temp bans. When you wish to close an account it becomes tricky since there’s no way to contact us to reopen it so it is pseudo-perm
