Educated Republicans aren’t MAGA Republicans, i.e. Trump voters tend to have a low education.

“The results from Arizona’s 1st Congressional District bear this out. The seat contains Scottsdale and other well-off, highly educated Phoenix suburbs…
They will vote for a certain type of Republican, just not the uber-Trump backers they had on offer this year”

I think even trump supporters will admit this. Why does the left think lack of a formal education is an insult? It it some form of classicism?

Low education is simply a characteristic of MAGA Republicans. This could explain why they are fertile ground for conspiracy theories to take hold.

Ballot harvesting is a made up term for wack job Republicans - Low education Republicans

The US Post office is by far the biggest ballot harvester. They collect millions of absentee ballots and deliver them to election offices all over the country.

In 2018, in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District, Republicans did abuse the practice by collecting ballots and then altering those ballots to gain an advantage. The election was not certified by officials as a result.

The North Carolina State Board of Elections held an evidentiary hearing in February 2019.[2] On February 21, the board unanimously voted to call a new election because of fraud by Republican operatives.[3] Several Republican campaign operatives have been indicted for their role in an illegal ballot harvesting and ballot tampering operation.

Door to door ballot harvesting should be illegal for the same reason why most states do not allow  campaigning within 100 feet of a voting area.

I agree. It won't happen though. The issue is that low information voters which op doesn't seem to realize is different than uneducated people in the trades he is mocking, overwhelmingly vote Democrat. It benefits the left too much to fix.

Only way it gets fixed is when the GOP learns how to campaign door to door while just happening to help harvest ballots legally.

This country would be a better place if the left focused more on passing their political agenda than stealing elections. Like because of their Nimby shit skid row is the way it is and schools are gerrymandered when it comes to funding. All they have to do is drop the Nimby attitude and doing things for the sole purpose of pandering and stealing elections and the country would have a good amount of problems fixed

There’s low information voters - people who don’t pay attention. This would be poor minorities. These people feel like government doesn’t work for them and their vote doesn’t matter.

Then there’s wrong information voters - people who consume fake news. These are the idiots who support Trump. The ones too stupid to exercise critical thinking skills and are too dumb to find legitimate sources of news. These people never went to college and feel looked down on. They have tremendous status anxiety/white grievance. They could gain peoples respect if they just stopped believing nonsense.

Then there’s college educated Republicans. They are never Trumpers and are appalled that he was able to take over the Republican Party.

College educated Democrats aren’t doing enough to help people who are working class. Of course working class whites don’t want Dems or anyone else to help poor minorities, at least until they feel more secure in their status and financial security.

That’s ridiculous. This statement indicates you are an uneducated wack job. The only people trying to steal elections are Republicans unless you mean helping blacks to vote is equivalent to “stealing elections”.  Republicans want to make it hard to vote to keep blacks from voting.

If an elderly black woman gives her ballot to a neighbor to drop off at a ballot box because she’s handicapped or works 3 jobs you guys call that ballot harvesting.

I want to punch this dude. He isn't even trolling. Look at what he says about black voters. He doesn't even say most black voters or anything like that. He literally thinks black people in general are low information, broke and stupid.

That's not even a majority of black people. Yet I get banned for shit like pointing out racial discrepancies in crime statistics.

You can’t deny that black and Hispanic people have lower incomes and education as a statical group. They also have less wealth and are less likely to own their own homes. This is the result of systemic racism in this country. Poor whites used to be part of the low information voters, but they have gotten even worse - the misinformed, prone to conspiracy theories voters. Now they have created their own category. Obviously not all blacks fit in this description just like there are whites that buck the trend and have a high school diploma or less and don’t make the median household income.

The point is that college educated people, both Republican and Democrat, are a lot less likely to support Donald Trump.

I am going to help you out here, but I know your heart. You like black people. You may even feel bad for black people, but you also think they are inherently inferior to you. That may or may not be a subconscious belief. I am going to help you though. It's not merely about rhetoric. You have some beliefs and you need to do some work on yourself to either fix them or at least be honest about them

You can’t deny that black and Hispanic people have lower incomes and education as a statical group

African Americans are disproportionately affected by poverty and barriers to higher education.

They also have less wealth and are less likely to own their own homes.
African americans are often unlikely to own their own homes, have lower credit scores and less savings to put a down payment on their home.

This is the result of systemic racism in this country

Years of systematic racism such as forced segregation and Jim crow laws have impact that can still be felt today. While black people generally are treated equal under the law they often lack the resources of a lot white folks have but aren't as easily able to recognize.

For example. Poverty is often a cycle that is very tough to escape from. It might be there is a lack of resources in bany black communities. For example higher paying jobs that are willing to hire African Americans are more likely to position themselves in predominantly white areas away from places easily accessible by public transportation. We also have the fact that it's hard to save due to things such a as food deserts making food both more expensive and less healthy in black communities.

The violence in these communities as well as a lot of the lawlessness can be an impediment to getting good sleep or feeling safe walking to work and doing other activities that help people escape poverty. If you are white you are also more likely to know small business owners or be friends with somebody who does and is willing to give you a shot at a job you don't quite deserve. This is a benefit that can't be measured and what some might refer to as a white privilege, though it certainly wouldn't apply to all whites.

Poor whites used to be part of the low information voters, .
Low information voting in general has always been a problem among all demographics and is why it is up to policy makers to present as clear a case for their position as possible to the general public, so voters can make an intelligent choice in their own best interests.

but now they have gotten even worse - the misinformed, prone to conspiracy theories voters. Now they have created their own category
Unfortunately policy makers are up against a very tough adversary whether it be intelligence services overseas taking advantage of the free speech we welcome in the United States, or trolls from various image boards doing the same. It's a unique challenge to simultaneously battle disinformation campaigns while simultaneously respecting freedom of speech and right now all sides of the info wars are making missteps and negotiating how to proceed in the future.

Until we can see a healthy resolution to the both the misinformation campaigns as well as respecting freedom of speech, we may have to learn how to navigate the problems that can happen from grownups who were never educated on how to be media savvy.

For example conspiracy theories ranging from GMO's that will kill us all to the propaganda that the 2020 election was stolen are having very real effects on the political process in the United States.

Several informal surveys and studies have shown that the politician most benefiting from these misinformation campaigns is Donald Trump.

Whether you like Trump or agree with his policies or not, I hope we can all agree that the United States would be better off if we can have elections decided by more informed voters who are capable of voting in their own best interests.

Certainly finding ways to make the public more media savvy as well as giving institutions the power to battle disinformation campaigns will create a more informed public who will be able to more effectively vote in their own best interests.

Yes, it was an opinion piece but the first line states a fact that is not a matter of opinion. “The Trumpist belief that the 2020 election was fraudulent was always rooted in fiction”

The second point, that Uneducated people tend to be Trump supporters is also not merely opinion. We see it every day. We hear the things they say, stupid things that are demonstrably untrue, every day.
Trump says stupid things. Republican politicians, trying to not become a target of Trump, say stupid things or ignore his stupid statements. Trump supporters believe Trump’s stupid words. That makes them stupid too.

It’s not that hard to exercise critical thinking skills. The problem is people believe what they want to believe rather than trying to determine what the facts are. These are the people who believe Obama wasn’t born in America, that Hillary sold our plutonium to the Russians and Climate change is a hoax and Covid vaccines make you impotent.

These are stupid, stupid people.

Yea people say stupid things that is human nature. But your evidence that uneducated people tend to be trump supporters is because they say stupid things.

Well then with that logic I could say that uneducated people tend to be everyone, since everyone says stupid things.

And also, did you go to middle school English class, because if you did, they would have taught you that you can't use an opinion to prove things. Yes, it was an opinion piece, but the first line states a fact that is not a matter of opinion.

Yes, it was an opinion piece, but the first line states a fact that is not a matter of opinion. “The Trumpist belief that the 2020 election was fraudulent was always rooted in fiction
Plus, the fraud of the 2020 elections wasn't rooted in fiction, because there is evidence backing up mail in voting, something that actually happened, and there were more votes cast in total, than there were alive citizens of the USA at that time.

You say that statement was a fact that is not a matter of opinion. Well, I could say that about literally any opinion. It doesn't have any factual evidence to back it up, other than they say stupid things. Everyone says stupid things. The Biden administration has said some of the most ludicrous and insane statements in all of America's history.

The Biden Administration thinks that teaching kids about "Global Warming" and their LGBTQ+ agenda, is more important than teaching them actual school curriculum.

The public school system is already horrible as it is. Why not make it worse.

It is the complete opposite.

It is the Trump supporters who are fighting against these ridiculous ideas and basing their evidence in facts and biology.

So, if anything, the Trump supporters now more than ever are educated, thanks to the Biden Administration.
