Oh no! Record low unemployment! This is terrible…if you’re a MAGA Moron

Unemployment is at 3.7 %. Remember when we had 16% unemployment under Trump?

Too bad unemployment numbers don't always translate to less scarce goods. Shit jobs are counted the same as a normal job using only "employment" data.

4 key facts:
1) Wage increases across the board, regardless of employment numbers, lagged behind inflation, and haven't fully compensated for the losses.
2) Prices across the board (yes, there are things other than "eggs") are still way over the 2020 norm. (19% to be exact)
3) Biden's "inflation tax" hit the poor much harder than middle-class America.
4) Biden is at 37% job approval rating, with 1 in 4 registered Democrats upset with Biden.

The unemployment rate is a widely used economic indicator(for some weird reason), but it has significant shortcomings:
  1. Underemployment not Captured: The unemployment rate focuses on those actively seeking employment but may not account for underemployed individuals or those who have given up looking for work.
  2. Discouraged Workers Excluded: People who have stopped looking for a job due to frustration or discouragement are not considered unemployed, which may lead to an underestimation of the true extent of unemployment.
  3. Doesn't Account for Quality of Jobs: The unemployment rate does not distinguish between full-time and part-time employment or consider the quality of jobs available. People may be employed but still struggling with low wages or job insecurity. All jobs are not the same when evaluating the quality of a nation's economy.
  4. Excludes Certain Groups: Individuals not in the labor force, such as retirees or students, are not factored into the unemployment rate. This exclusion can mask the true economic challenges faced by specific demographic groups.
  5. Voluntary Part-Time Workers: Those working part-time due to inability to secure full-time employment are considered employed, potentially distorting the picture of labor market health.
  6. Doesn't Reflect Job Satisfaction: The unemployment rate provides a quantitative measure but does not capture qualitative aspects such as job satisfaction, job fit, or whether individuals are working in their chosen or qualified fields, translating into market inefficiencies.
  7. Varied State of Job Markets: Regional differences in job markets are not adequately reflected in the national unemployment rate, and local economic conditions may not be accurately represented. Since the modern economy is interconnected, a severe shortcoming in one isolated job market can affect many other economic markets, despite full employment in those markets. This economic imbalance can never be deduced from a simple overall jobs report.

Inflation boosted the real income of the middle wealth quintile by a staggering two thirds. In contrast, the bottom two wealth quintiles got clobbered by inflation, losing almost half of their real income.

This explains why the lobby class rammed through the 3rd stimulus package knowing it would assist with a massive wealth transfer from the poor to the rich through massive inflation losses for the poor. With friends like Democrats, who needs enemies?

I suppose Democrats will learn in 2024 that poor people also vote.

Looking back at it now, the most surprising thing about the Donald Trump presidency is that we survived it at all: the lies, the chaos, the ignorance, ugliness, recklessness and lawlessness. On many levels, it was unlike any other presidency in our history, Republican or Democrat.
Presidential historians generally rank Warren G. Harding, Ulysses s Grant, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Zachary Taylor and Andrew Johnson as the worst six presidents in American history. It’s time to revise the list. Donald Trump makes them look like statesmen.

Good, we can unsurprisingly survive another 4 years then. So odd to see you guys praising Republicans lately. Must be a testament to Biden's low approval.

As usual OGP, your confused at best and at worst...?....placate to others who speak truth.

Unlike you some of us speak the truth, irrespective of the individuals overall lack of moral integrity.

Mega political morons ---like the poor---  are always with us. Hard to say which catagory has the highest numerical count.

Ya, the poor are going to vote Republican so they can end, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, and WIC and cut taxes again for the wealthiest Americans.

Shit jobs are counted the same as a normal job using only "employment" data.
Some people are only qualified for shit jobs. Mostly people living in red, “right to work” states.

Republicans and conservatives do nothing to create good jobs. They are anti labor, anti union,  they cut regulations (like mine safety) and they cut taxes for corporations and wealthy business owners.

Biden has created way more construction and manufacturing jobs than Trump or any other “conservative” president.

I am confused. It's like you guys are not really serious about beating Donald Trump. We need much more hyperbolic rhetoric than this to tip the scales at this point.

37% approval is pretty bad. You guys need to try harder to get the message out. More doomsaying.

This is a post about how good the economy is because people like you live in an alternative reality.

Somehow you believe 3.7% unemployment is worse than the 16% unemployment we had under Trump.

You think 5% annual GDP growth is worse than 3% GDP growth

“In the years since the COVID-19 recession of early 2020, manufacturing jobs in the U.S. have recovered quicker than ever seen in modern history”

Manufacturing in this country began its decline with the policies of Ronald Regan.

“The 1980s kicked off with dual recessions—not unlike today's trying economic conditions stoked by a war of resources abroad and tightening monetary policy aimed at combating high inflation. Where manufacturing work represented almost 1 in 3 jobs in America at the time, by 1982, the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression had devastated goods-producing jobs”

“Congress passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in 2021 and the CHIPS and Science Act in 2022. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs act will infuse the manufacturing sector with an unprecedented $550 billion in capital through 2026 to build and repair bridges, roads, highways, rural internet infrastructure, and water treatment facilities”

“The CHIPS and Science Act aims to rejuvenate the U.S. manufacturing sector to compete with foreign nations like China and keep the supply of critical goods like computer chips stable for American consumers. A shortage of computer chips at the start of the pandemic stymied manufacturing supply chains for everything from computers to automobiles”

JOE DID THAT! THANKS JOE!

Oh no, bad news for Republicans and other idiots who don’t live in reality.

“the Congressional Budget Office isn’t alone in understating where we would be by now. The International Monetary Fund says that U.S. gross domestic product is higher today, in inflation-adjusted terms, than it had expected at the beginning of 2020. The IMF ran these calculations for countries around the world, and found the United States was an outlier in beating the organization’s pre-covid forecasts:”

Video....."..Joe Messed Up Bad....."....
You, like most of the Mega MAGA Morons mostly dismiss the Trumpet led, Jan 6 insurrection where people where killed, some threatened with death, and many fear of violence against them.

And, Mega MAGA Morons dissmiss { 99% of time }, the the 90 or more indictments against Trumpet and instead,  focus on how bad Biden is.

As usual your confused at best and at worst....?.....a Trumpet loving MAGA who tries to placate those who post the truth about Trumpet and MAGA cult followers

Oh yes, the economy is humming along so well that Trump and Biden are currently locked in a tight race where it's unclear who is in the lead. This is totally the result you see whenever the man at the helm is managing everything competently and there are no problems!

Oh, what's that? Your 40K a year job now has the buying power that a 35K job did two and a half years ago, meaning you've effectively taken a paycut from the 37K you were making then, despite your boss calling it a promotion and giving you a few more responsibilities? Of course you're not resentful about that; you're just glad you have a job at all, and that your buying power didn't shrink by more than it did! Because this is how normal people think!
