Gaven Newsome created a new minimum wage law that requires fast food companies to pay their employees $20 minimum wage and created an exception for Panera bread to still pay their employees below this. Coincidentally Panerai was a large donation to Newsomes campaign and provided him close to 150k in campaign funds. This is a left wing news organization inaction covering this for those who don't trust neutral or right-wing sources. https://youtu.be/Su-pBDyjQxU?si=2MNiQapKNkB2BCne

There is no legitimate reason why Panerai should be an exception to this law. Let's face it the law is terrible and will hurt california residents but if the people passing it think it is good no excuse other than crony capitalism can explain. This discrepancy in who the law applies to.

Is there a single democrat who could win who doesn't have this sort of baggage in 2028? Don't say Bernie Sanders because he will be dead in 2028.

Maybe AOC? She is a phony but she might be the only one with her hands clean who could command national attention

Looks like Panera bread will be a state sanctioned monopoly once the government wage mandates force all of their competition out of business.

Gotta love being in the party of corporate greed and big business. Feels so good in the cockles of the cockles.

If you want to be outraged about something, be outraged about the status quo that has turned California into a one-party state. Be outraged about a state that often treats small business owners as a burden rather than a benefit.  And be outraged at a legislature enacting policies that are so harmful, businesses sometimes need carve-outs to survive them.

Nice Article Sidewalker! A beautiful breakdown of crony California. The article basically says "don't hate the player (Panera) hate the game."

That article literally added nothing that the video I linked to didn't say except for the fact it lacked some of the context included in the video

Are you saying that like greed is a bad thing?

According to the article you linked, it's a bad thing if you combine it with the crony politics of California.
