So, are paranoid Democats now going to assume this choice was made due to the Trump effect? They are so badly in need of a leader whose first thought in the morning is not how to defeat Trump. They've already tried twice and lost with impeachment. That, obviously, does not work, but then there's that notion that trying something over and over again, expecting different results...  Currently, that person is an empty suit, and they'd best be figuring out with whom to fill it, and none of the usual names are going to cut it. Mid-term is coming, let alone 28
