Welcome to Game Show Mafia! This will be a normal mafia, the only exception is that there will be a daily trivia question in which town or mafia can earn an extra role. I'll go into more details about that shortly.
Set Up: 8 Town v 3 Mafia, No Third Parties exist in this game. Mafia were given exactly one fake role claim, and one fake character claim this time around. I would like to go back to giving no fake claims, but after seeing so many mafia teams get cooked because of lack of fake claims, I caved and decided to help them out a bit this time around. As far as balance goes, I would say this is a very balanced game, however the trivia aspect could turn it into a swingy game based on who wins.
Trivia: Each day there will be a mafia related trivia question. Unfortunately, the veterans will probably have an advantage here just because of familiarity with mafia, I don't really know how to get around that. A newer player can still probably guess these right if they do enough research though. How it will work is I will start off with a harder question. If no one guesses it correctly then I will try to go a bit easier with it for subsequent day phases. But mafia will get to submit one answer as a whole, rather than three separate answers. Since there is three of them that can put their heads together on this, it seems fair to only allow them one answer. Mafia will get a different role than town if they win, and when I announce the trivia question I will announce what the prize role is for each affiliation. All trivia answers must be submitted via PM, and talk about trivia answers will be strictly prohibited in the day phase. You can talk about the trivia mechanic all you like, just no helping other people guess or telling people what you guessed please. The day phase one trivia will start this evening, I will shoot for around 8pm EST so everyone gets a chance to see the game is up. In the case that an answer is fairly close, I will accept it, but whoever gives the most accurate answer will be the winner. The winner of the trivia will not be announced publicly, and winner won't be told until the end of the day phase. In the case of multiple right answers, I will give the prize role to whoever answered first.
Rules: Standard rules apply. I only like to clarify I will not answer questions about roles publicly. If you have a question about your own role PM, please ask it via pm and I will answer. I will not answer questions about hypothetical roles, only roles that have flipped in the graveyard, but again please ask questions only in your PM.
