I was wanting to post more than I am going to be able to do. I am actually going to concede to ana on this, she keeps saying I intend to go back and read and don't and at this point, that is accurate. Just got home, and prob need to pass out because I have to get up super early tomorrow to deal with a broken ac. I am going to post a short summary and then pass out soon for the night. Will try to answer stuff why I am here. I mentioned we were going to run out of time and we are. We should have this game solved before we all sleep so we aren't doing last minute scrambling tomorrow morning.
I really wanted to go back and look at motivations for why people were not buying my reads on earth but will not have the time or energy tonight. I know the basics of most of them. Pie basically said he always plays scummy, and ana is reading him town because his role and character make sense/ and because I am reading him as scum. Basically saying "Mikal think bad, so must be good cus easy mislynch". I have not backed off this all DP and don't think I can now. I can go chasing motivations and look for reasons not to trust myself, but I my entire gut and feeling has had these two as my top two picks.
Earth because he did not really engage until pressured, spammed a shit ton of fluff at the start, has a very obscure role, and then starting getting defensive when more pressure went his way. Not to mention he just volunteered the claim in response to hardly no pressure.
Anas initial post has always felt like she was farming town cred, and everything after that just makes her seem more sus. How defensive she is, how some of her reads are based on how I am pressuring people, how one of her reads is because someone defended her. There is a fixation and annoyance with this where because I said that initial claim, her behavior and response has only amplified to just wanting to fight and respond to me because she can't accept the logic behind it. I am going to accept casey is right and say that sure, doing what she did may be meta on this site but the fact she can't see the logic that just because it's meta, scum can still do it as a tactic really just feels wrong
These are my two preferences, still.
Past that between the list everyone is agreeing to, my pick on who we get a claim from is wylted. He initially read me as towny because of how abrasive he was being and thinking scum would not be that aggressive, then he just lost interest in the game, and nothing else really stuck out until his pressure on Austin. He somewhat lied to him to get him to claim
again that could be done with good intent or bad intent. Good because he could be trying to force a slip or bad because he wanted more claims as scum. It initially found towny but the more I think about it, the more that felt insanely opportunistic. Everyone has had some kind of fucking creepy obsession with more claims. We already have soft claims, hard claims, and more than enough info behaviorally to poe and pick a decent target and we are still wanting another claim. I disagree with this but if we are agreeing to that list against my will, then I pick wylted.
that does not mean we should lynch him, that means if we are going to be stubborn and dumb and get another claim for no reason then he is the best choice to me. Past that I have given my thoughts on my top two. I am leaving my vote on earth and I think very likely you all will have to decide where to vote because I am going to be koed pretty soon and not be able to give much more feedback.
