What I mean by manifest is to physically see and touch.

Having faith can be one's own belief that God is real.

Could be a manifest of evidence, could be false .

Because they inherit it from careless parents who have sloppy diets and careless health risks? We are what we put in the pie hole, or otherwise consume, and that may cause inheritable mutation, such as cancer, or it is inherited from more distant family cancer risks, or environment.may have a hand in it. No, God is not to blame, nor the universe. Neither are the total cause of anything.
Cancer in childhood tends to be the result of spontaneous mutations caused by errors in DNA replication. The parents are not the cause of the child's cancer, unless they have been poisoning them with chemicals over a period of time.

1: There is more bad than good, so even being completely unbiased there is more to blame god for than to credit him for.

2: Any theist who believes God is good must do the opposite and cherry pick good things to credit God for while ignoring the horrible things that God does.

What you have described is belief, which has no obligation to be true. That is the distinction between faith and belief. True faith cannot lead to a false idea, and until that manifestation is observed, personally, it is not recognized for what it is. That's why Paul describes faith in Hebrew's 11 as "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The entire chapter bears that out. This quote is just from the first verse. That is why I do not like cherry-picking verses. Never without referencing a larger scope to observe. [I have probably violated that,  but this is my desired ideal: context.]

Such as...?  You do enjoy hurling accusations without a shred of evidence. It is how youu debate and why I tend to vote on your debates accordingly. Show me, don't just tell me. That's the demand of earning sourcing points in debate on this debate site. You did read the rules, yeah? Follow them. Even in the Forum, which is good practtice for debate. Depend on schorlarly sources and cite them.

You're a mormon lil' bro, pipe down. You believe Joseph Smith found magic gold tablets that just so happened to disappear so no one could see them and that the bible predicted his coming but it was edited out of the bible but he totally knew it happened because God told him even though he was the only source saying that. Mormons are fucking retarded, and every time you vote on my debates you prove that mormons are retarded because my arguments go over your head.

If you really need to be told about all the horrible things that happen in this world because you live such a privileged sheltered little mormon life that you think life is all sunshine and rainbows, then what you really need is to have a Sidhartha Gautama moment where you step outside the palace and see the real world for yourself.

...mutations caused by errors in DNA replication
And you suppose those errors just happen? WHY do they happen? There is cause, and cause, by one source, is choosing poor substances to consume. The body cannot do its proper job of cell repair and reproduction without the proper materials to perform that function. It does the best it can with substitutes, but that's not going to succeed as well as by providing the proper nutrients. That's personal choice. I suspect you are not longer depending on your parents to feed you, and what you feed yourself will ultimately bear out good, or poor results on your children, including causing DNA mutation from its intended performance. Root cause, my friend, may not be the first error you identify. I spent a career finding, and teaching discovery of root cause of failure, with my now 76th journey around the sun. Experience means things. One thing is that conducting a proper process with the right materials and tools is universal in scope, not just nutrition, and not just in making widgets.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and am likely your big brother, my friend. I am 6'3" and 75, with the heart of one at 20, according to my personal physician. And what brand of Christian I wear is not a discussion point, nor are the nonsenses you use to describe a blind man's view of Joseph Smith.
The rest of your commentary to me, vile as it is, in my book, is your last. You are blocked.

I'll just mention that when an argument resorts to personal attack, particularly aimed at one's faith and beliefs, and not the subject at hand in a cordial, measured response, that argument fails and is lost.

Yes.

WHY do they happen?
I don't know. I have not yet asked these cells why they mutate so wrongly. Do you think I will get an answer if I ask?

Don't be silly. Children do not inherit cells from their parents; they inherit genetic information from their parents. When the mother abuses her body with drugs and alcohol, the fetus can become sick with diseases that are usually not cancer. Most children with cancer appear to be born from healthy parents who are not drug users.

It is true that eating fruits, vegetables, and getting adequate protein is good for the mother and fetus. A pregnant or breastfeeding woman should be eating healthily, and not using alcohol or other substances.

My grandparents did not have privileged lives. They were born in southern Russia and did not have electricity until they were adults. Yet, they made the best of it. One of them died when he was a young man, his wife, my paternal grandmother, made it to 92. My maternal grandparents are still alive, aged 84 and 82.

My grandfather is 6'0.

Are you short?

I didn't say being tall was the only factor that makes someone privileged or not, however being tall is always better than being short as a man.

As a woman you should know this since you automatically respect tall men more than short or average height men.

It is very obvious that fauxlaw is privileged and being 6'3 plays a big role in that. It also is a sign that he was well fed as a child, a luxury that not everyone gets to have handed to them.

You ask me "are you short" because you want to hypocritically say "see you just hate tall people because you're short" yet you see a problem with me judging people for being tall because you are the one who associates shortness with negative traits and tallness with positive ones.

Nah from what I understand from the scriptures, belief and faith are synonymous.

Scripture say FAITH cometh by hearing the WORD of God.

Scripture say BELIEVE on him as the SCRIPTURE have said.

So the two are not distinct or separate.

Until something is shown to be true , it is possible for it to be false.

Thomas wanted to see in order to believe which is not the testament of true faith.

Those that have not seen, don't have the same testimony as those that have seen God.

So a lot is more reliant on belief/faith compared to those that behold his glory.

I know of Pagans who are 'good' people.

Ultimately I am not the judge of good or evil people, I can judge only actions. Everyone is a sinner by default.

You seem to be bigoted enough to assume Fauxlaw cannot be good and Pagan at the same time.

I had the privilege of meeting  James Watson, Nobel prize winner with Francis Crick for understanding the structure of DNA in 1954. I met Watson at UCLA in 1966 when he lectured there when I was a junior in a high school about a mile from UCLA campus.  His lecture was astounding, and, among other things described in detail how DNA is adversely affected [mutated] by, among other things, insufficient and inappropriate nutrition. Get it? That's the how, my friend. Go ahead, don't believe Watson, but that's on you. Yes, children inherit DNA [genetic information] from their parents, including it's mutated state by several causes, including poor nutrition. Disase is another contributor, poor, noxious environments, another. The list is long and indistinguished.

Thank you. We have our problems, like all religions, mostly by the thoughts and actions of individual members, and, mostly former members who manage to make wild claims  as do ex-members of many religions, and people eat up that crap like it was strawberry jam. I have great respect for anyone who desires to follow ion Christ's footsteps, but I also admire the holy writ of many other religions. There is obvious common ground, even among non-Christians, because the concept of the "golden rule" [do unto others...]  is common to over 20 of the world's religions, and even by some atheists. Must be a universal truth haloing a single source.

I am, frankly, surprised that no one has commented on a point I argued in my #5 that:

"...God is not to blame, nor the universe. Neither [is] the total cause of anything."
Doesn't such a comment fly in face of what most of us who believe in God call "omnipotence?" Perhaps that term ought to be re-examined for definition.

You forgot to mention that your God not only refuse to help but also put a being that people call Satan to make your life more complicated. Your God doesn’t want you to go on because he's tripping all the time over you so you can fall and stay down.

Honestly, don’t you see all the nonsense in this belief?

Why don't you research mormonism and learn about how completely unjustifiable it is to believe. There is probably no such thing as an intelligent mormon.

It is a test of faith

How can you know relief without pain?

If you are hungry and get food you feel relief and appreciate the food and enjoy it

If you are thirsty and drink water you are refreshed and appreciate the water

If you never experience hunger or thirst you won’t appreciate food and water the same way

The fact some people lose their children early shows other to appreciate the children they have and that we shouldn’t take anything for granted

When people die they return to God in heaven which is their true home

This earth is a testing ground

The kids go to heaven and the parents miss them yes but they must go on with their lives and realize God’s plan is better and one day we will all return to him

So we shouldn’t take anything for granted and appreciate everything in life and thank God for it

Without evil we would take everything for granted and wouldn’t appreciate God and blessings he gave us for what they are worth

Evil doesn’t disprove God

God is real and everything is good in reality

Our limited perceptions just perceive it as evil

It is for the greater good we must have faith in God and it’s plan God knows better than our limited minds

And God knows best amen

I doubt James Watson had much or anything to say about childhood cancer development during his 1966 UCLA lecture. Did he have anything to say about it?

The body is made up of many things, and some of them are confined to a world of their own. You can have a healthy heart and get cancer, and you can not get cancer and have a “bad heart.” Science does not know what causes cancer in children. What we do know is that most cancers in children occur due to spontaneous mutation. What causes it? Neither you nor I know.

Some scientists cannot make their minds up about antioxidants, James Watson being one of them. Well, I guess he has made his mind up; he thinks they cause cancer. What was that you said about healthy maternal diets?

Cancer is a most unpredictable disease. Life is unpredictable too. You would think a successful Nobel Prize winning scientist would create well-adjusted offspring, yet Watson's son is a schizophrenic.

Life is “prepare for the worst, be pleasantly surprised when you get the best.”

But still, be prepared.
