How the heck embracing suffering is more superior? This is really sick. Who wants to embrace suffering? Nobody would do that.
I guess this conclusion you came to was based on the suffering of Jesus up in the cross. Isn't it? As far as I understand, Jesus didn't suffer when helping other people, he actually enjoyed it. If you help others you will enjoy it too, so get this idiotic idea of suffering out of your mind. Nobody wants to suffer.
Besides, to me this image of the suffering Jesus is pure manipulation of the Church. Jesus had a very good life. He came from a wealthy family, his father was a builindg contractor and his mother was in the royal line. As a consequence, Jesus had a very good education and many privileges. If he had been poor he would have never turned into a rabbi as he effectively was. So, this Christian narrative that Jesus was poor and his father was a humble carpenter (or woodworker) and Mary a sad housewife, it's a hoax. Don't believe in that.
As to your statement, there is no such thing as inferior or superior phylosophy. Moreover, you seem to not know much about Buddhism. Both, christianity and budhism, have more similarities than differences. Gautama taught about love and compassion like Jesus did. The problem is that you're thinking in terms of hell and heaven, so you're bringing up this doctrine of helping others becasue you think this will make people go to heaven.
If you want to believe so, that's your problem, but to me we should take care of ourselves first, only then we can take care of the people as the loving and compassionate beings we should be.
