What does salvation mean in that

I’m not saying it’s from the pope. I’m saying one of the primary differences in Protestant teachings and catholic doctrine on this topic would be the apocrypha and or authoritative statements made by the pope. They are the 2 main differences in worldview. 

Salvation is the core tenant of Christianity. It’s framed as what does salvation encourage more. Freedom or Servitude. It’s the best framing I can come up with that captures what we both are debating.

I will argue Catholic interpretations are correct. I won't argue solely that. I will add Orthodoxy on top and really Im focused on bible.

Somebody ought to define "salvation," because that has definitive differences in meaning across Christendom, not to mention freedom and servitude. All should be defined and agreed upon prior the perofress from challenge to debate so you're both on the same page.

By not assuming typical definitions, you should assure the debate does not devolve into semantics. There's no downside to nailing down definitions when they are credible sources [a dictionary]
