Banning hate speech causes it to spread

In this youtube video I show precisely how hate groups operate when they are driven underground by using actual examples from the site. If you don't feel like watching the video I sent different members of the site messages away from public view to lead them down a rabbit hole where they end up in my racism club. This is a type of recruitment campaign that is virtually undetectable unless some idiot shows proof of themselves doing it on youtube and sharing it with the site. For all we know the suppression tactics of mods lately have led to this sort of thing already.

Do not make this personal guys. NObody wants to be a mod, and those that do usually aren't suited for the job so encourage these guys and keep this conversation from becoming personal.

But I expect them to follow a 'degree of etiquette, manners, decorum.

And at 'certain points, their workings, actions, and plans 'do need to be stopped, in the most obvious of situations, such as inciting a mob, in such a circumstance that one would expect a mob and mob violence to actually occur.

Good so that is exactly what the new COC I wrote enshrines into the rules but your vote in the most recent meep actually seems to endorse something that goes beyond the following statement.

The new ratified meep that was created with a long negotiation with the mods and also in collaboration with various sites members from various ideological factions to win popular support for the new COC does exactly what you describe

The new COC seems to 'me, lacking in describing banned and discouraged behaviors.

I think it is better to give the Mods a bigger stick, with the understand that they use it in restraint.

Than to give them an ineffectual stick, and expect them to stop behaviors and actions they do not have the backings of written laws for.

The problem with the concept of hate speech is anyone can hate what you say and label it hate speech.  For instance: Mexicans entering the USA illegally have no respect for the USA's immigration laws. This of course will translate into a bigoted view towards Mexicans and thus labeled hate speech. You cant say it isn't true because it already has been labeled as such. Hate speech is in the brain of the individual. I hate all kinds of shit people say but I in no way would prevent anyone from saying things I hate. Only the intellectually weak minded do shit like that. Free speech is meaningless if no one is allowed to say anything you hate.

Here is another example: I think homosexuality is a mental disorder. HATE SPEECH!!! cancel that motherfucker!!!

Here's my response which pays little attention to "hate speech:" The 1A offers the benefit of free speech. It's unwritten follow-on is that we have the right to be offended, but that does not allow the response of official censure. "Official" does not include the private  ownership and moderation of public-access sites, which may impose whatever rules they deem necessary. Bottom line; there is a consequence to bitching at each other rather than trying to get along inspite of diifereences of opinion. 

Nah the person was actually banned without spreading it. 

I don't take anything personally even if it is. People talk shit all the time.  This is a debate site, people have opinions and experiences and sources to justify those opinions. Who am I to deny another of an opinion even if I hate it, am offended by it and it makes me want to puke in my mouth. If I don't want to read or hear what a person is saying I just keep scrolling or walking. Oh poor me and my hurt little feelings.

Yup. You can either expose evil and refute it before the public, or you can choose to censor and make yourself feel better simply because you can't see the situation getting worse.

Notice how none of the people pushing for censorship of things are willing to engage with what I posted here
