I question how people want to stop nuclear energy. I don’t know if it’s political but nuclear is cleaner, cheaper, safer, etc. is there seriously a reason why people don’t embrace it

But those are only two disasters recorded ever, whereas fossil fuels have had 2800 over the years, causing over 8.5 million people per year u like nuclear 50 over all time

Everyone likes nuclear energy, until your yard is near that power plant or its waste.

The Sun bombards us with enough energy in one day for a years supply of electricity...Yet we prefer to waste it and build high risk, high cost, short term nuclear reactors that produce dangerous waste that must be hidden away long term and hopefully forgotten about.

Fact is, from the point of view of fragile organic structures, there is absolutely nothing whatsoever safe about the production of Nuclear energy

So what's not to like?

Solar energy farms can only work to get 7 percent energy capacity, unlike nuclear reactors which can get 93%

I don't doubt the stats re energy production.

Though the downside of nuclear energy production cannot be dismissed as insignificant.

And cost wise , renewables are far more efficient than nuclear.

Bottom line is though, if the human race demands ever more electrical energy then there will be a commensurate cost to the environment in some form or another.

You are resigned to the growing problem of nuclear energy.

I have no say.

The problem is people and perhaps the necessity of people and the necessity of material progress.

Perhaps a real AI will eventually take control of Earth systems management.

Or perhaps life on Earth has no greater Universal significance.

Or perhaps other systems will succeed and some systems will not.

Or perhaps there's a GOD that enjoys prayers and hymns.

Or perhaps..................................................
