    I dislike the guy.
Here if you want to see positions he advocates for.
Specifically of him being part of the alt-right.

Most qualities. The only that I have found that he is disagrees with is regarding Jewish people or maybe he is a self-loathing Jew but that is a conspiracy. Ben Shapiro is more alt-right than he isn't.

You can think whatever you like but he holds a lot of-alt right positions. The only things that separates him from being part of the movement is that he is a Jew. It is very unlikely that Shapiro is a self-loathing Jew so at least he doesn't share that but with every other position they agree. Saying I was sent X amount of hate from the alt right in this 20XX doesn't mean you don't hold similar views. Maybe it is because he is a Jew and they dislike them but if they really were smart they would realise he can be a powerful ally for their movement. Just switch historical revisionism about what happened with the Jews under Hitler to hating Muslims. That way they would have a powerful ally but guess they really care about lying about what happened with the Jews under Hitler.

I can only assume this is PBS, as in Public Broadcasting Service.  Do you have a link to the website?  I couldn't find it online for some reason.

No sadly but if you click on the bottom part of the image it will zoom on in a link which supports what they are saying.

First few seconds should give you enough idea.
Do ask if you others don't work also.
I didn't really use links since I already knew his positions but put in an image like that really makes a convincing case of Ben being an alt-right. Shame the links don't work.

Edit: If you carry on he basically says people choose to be poor and in order to do well in life simply get married and two other things but from what I watched he gave evidence for that. So one substantiated point and 2 claims made by a supposedly left-wing think-tank.

I think I have shared views with some figures that are called "Alt-Right" as well, probably distinct from Ben Shapiro.

    Puppies are Cute

    "Racial Equality" is probably undesirable

Its inappropriate to call healthcare a positive right

Rap is "crap" (I find it lacking in musicality)

    Nationalism is healthy, within reason

    Taxation should not precede policy

It is morally irreconcilable to ascribe evil on account of estimated net worth, quarterly income, and yearly income

    What is the significance?

What does have to do with the alt-right?
    "Racial Equality" is probably undesirable
Who is for racial equality again?
Its inappropriate to call healthcare a positive right
A right is something given by the state. If the state does not even care about the health of their citizens then why do they even care about free speech? Oh wait one is not worth anything.
Rap is "crap" (I find it lacking in musicality)
This is mainly used to add more to why they dislike other races. Rap is crap is just a cherry on top of them hating black people. Attack their culture to make it sound reasonable. Rap is part of people's culture whoever listen to it. Just so happens that blacks digest raps more than whites.
This was not done per-capita since it was a survey but I think it would be true per capita blacks digest rap more than any other race.
    Nationalism is healthy, within reason
No it isn't. Saying you love your country is not a way of improving it. When you are celebrating your country people who have actual power declare war on foreign nations and take away your rights or laws that help people had. Here is one such thing:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXZZXwqm-hU
    Taxation should not precede policy
Don't know what you mean here. What do you agree with from that image that you this "lower taxes on billionaires"?
It is morally irreconcilable to ascribe evil on account of net worth
Where are you getting this from?

To the image? It means Shapiro is not reasonable and should be treated as an alt-righter instead of a centre-right individual (don't even think many of them exist).

Also, how is this "alt-right" defined?  I presume it stands for Alternative Right, perhaps on an entirely different left right spectrum from a relatively established standard.

I would consider that to be either a person who supports an ethno-state, is a nationalist or supports some form of fascism. Basically a fancy way of saying they are far-right.
I think it does stand for that but it was mainly used as a tool to re-brand the far-right to be more palatable.

I would consider centre-right individuals traditionalists but to the extent they are can determine where they land. I think if you push most of them they will go to the far side of the right.

"nationalism" I have taken numerous tests made by people claiming to understand a left-right spectrum, and have never "leaned right" before, not even slightly.

So even after many people telling you are wrong you still won't listen? Good to know.
You do know nationalism is a form of fascism right?

Adding on to what I said: Another reason why you might be incapable of changing your mind is that you have yet to answer my questions. Maybe you want your mind changed with just 1 point made and move on and not talk past the surface level. If that wasn't true why haven't you answered my questions and simply just moved on?

Fascism ( is a form of radical, right-wingauthoritarian ultranationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and of the economy, which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.[6] The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I before it spread to other European countries. Opposed to liberalismMarxism, and anarchism, fascism is placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum.
