A look at the definition of "delusion" may give us a clue.

Delusion: an idiosyncratic belief or impression maintained despite being contradicted by reality or rational argument, typically as a symptom of mental disorder.

The fact is:
religion is an idiosyncratic belief or impression maintained despite being contradicted by reality or rational argument.

Therefore:
religious people are deluded, typically as a symptom of mental disorder.

Here are some different definitions from merriam webster....

God -  capitalized : the supreme or ultimate reality

Religion - a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith

Faith - something that is believed especially withstrong conviction

Superstition -

That is what is written in the dictionary, because in English God and god have different meanings.

You do not have this issue in other languages. For example, in Arabic. Allah means God and Illah means god.

So if you have a problem, write merriam webster a letter, because I didn't write their dictionary.

You have to admit though that Willows really hammers home reality like it really is.

The stupid twit should know though that no matter how many times he peddles that line it doesn't matter anyway since the people he aims it at are too deluded to even know that they are deluded.
