You still haven't told us your character. IMO you're coming off as trying to play both sides of the field. On the one hand, omg you're this noob who doesn't know what he is doing or what's going on, on the other hand, you've played Mafia before and allegedly know the mechanics and how things work.

The mod said this "Roles may or may not be related to characters."
I am sure there is some thematic element, but that qoute makes me not wanna look to into it. Also the type of show this is, seems like it would be pretty hard to say which character is a power role or not given that all characters are wierdo non powerful humans in an office setting.
Also warren seems the type of mod who cares about balance more than thematic relevancy. I had to do the same in my Dark Crystal game. Some characters who arguably deserved more of a power role, "Deet" for example, were vanillas for the sake of balance. However I still had some characters with thematic roles. Character claims will still be useful for CC's, etc. But I wouldn't focus to hard on role justifications.

I know how the game works, logically speaking. I can deduce who the mafia is. That does not translate to knowing how to character and role claim, which is something I have never had to do before. In live mafia, you never claim your role and there are no characters. The only roles are cop and doctor. I have experience with logical deduction, which translates easily into mafia. I have no experience with character and role claims. No matter how quickly I learn how the game works, it is no substitute for experience.

Idk if I have ever been in a mafia game of his before, therefore I do not know. I know my mod style is thematic based with a hint of balance. I did read and I think what he means by that is... "The power roles themselves =/= correlate to a character." Not if they are power role themself. It would be silly in a theme game to not give the main character some special role

I can say why. A.J. only appeared in 3 episodes out of 188- that is a claim that is avoiding cc to widely. I really, really doubt A.J. is on anybody's list of regularly occurring characters.

It's an obscure claim. Meaning it could be scum trying to avoid a CC. But if he hasn't seen the office, it's unlikely he'd just come up with that on his own. But we're only taking his word he hasn't seen the office. Also, any idiot can look at a wiki.
But it's more than that. There is a thematic split. Is it pro-michael/anti-michael? Is it Scranton branch vs. other branches?

I definitely think he's smart enough to have researched that character real quick. If what he says is true about only playing live mafia, he shouldn't know what a PGO is, which is what his action was in NP2 of lucid dreamers. So he did some research to see what roles would be effective in that game. It's not beyond him to look up an obscure character claim IMO. And I am with you about it feeling like he is playing up the noobiness at his convenience. I don't know if this is lynch worthy material but it definitely airs him more scum leaning IMO.
