The irrefutable evidence that overwhelmingly supports the fact that life is a result of evolution by natural selection very much puts the kibosh on any notion that life was in any way created.

However, there are some unanswered questions as to how matter or energy came to be.

If we were to assume that there is a God responsible for at least being the prime mover of existence it is not just good enough to say "God has always been there and that's that"

If one were to believe there is a God so complex as to be responsible for creating such a massive universe (or life for that matter) without "just happening" then one would have to accept that there would be an even greater entity (or God) to have created that God.
And so the conundrum continues ad finitum.

We now accept life is due to evolution through natural selection so, could it be that if a God exists, such an entity was itself a result of the same process?

The argument probably would be God started that or is outside evolution or deny evolution. So basically no arguments that can be proved by science instead let me fill in the gap with God.

If it wasn't clear already, you are not going to find worthwhile answers on this site. Now if you do know of someone who gives good answers then please do quote them.

By definition God is the uncreated creator.

As for the origin of life by evolution,it has never been proven.

By "worthwhile" he means "answers you already agree with".

But if you ever fancy truthful answers, you may be in luck.

    The Ultimate Reality is God.

Time is contingent on God, God is not contingent on time.

God is not simply eternal, but pre-eternal.

As God exists before and outside of time, God does not evolve. Evolution or change is something that effects temporal beings.

If God can be replaced, or can cease to be God, we are not really talking about God. The Ultimate Reality must always be what it is, that is, there never is a time when God isn't God.

You mean the evidence overwhelmingly supports that evolution via natural selection is responsible for the DIVERSITY of life. Not life itself. Where the first self-replicating cells came from, the ones that developed into the first form of what we'd say is life, is still a matter of debate.

I think it is also worth noting that God certainly creates through natural processes. Even when we humans artificially create things, God is acting along with us. In that way, we are co-creators with God.

So we can rightly say, God created all things.

It is not an argument thst I am making, rather an assertion of what we believe.

I have never seen anything authoritative defining God as the uncreated creator.

Nor have I seen any of the evidence proving evolution been successfully overturned.

Can you give any sources of such bold statements?

    I suspect not.

Any scientist can tell you that science cannot prove anything since they can never know if they have all the evidence and many well established scientific theories have been overturned or had to be revised because of new evidence being discovered. This is why scientists use tentative language when reporting their findings.

The Orthodox Church certainly recognizes God as The Uncreated Creator.

The Orthodox Catholic Church is the definitive Christian Church.

A God who is not eternal would not be God.
