I don't think mafia are heroes, especially if speedrace said there's no thematic split.

I dunno, maybe you're right but I feel like you're probably just thinking too hard about that
-->
@RationalMadman
He connected the roles and the character, I don't think he connected the alignment as well.
-->
@oromagi
So you gave us all those reads before reading the game concept?
He’s pretty meticulous. Don’t know how he missed it
-->
@RationalMadman
He is third-party, do not pay attention to oromagi. Focus and keep interrogating me, it at least can help things progress from branch-out things from that.
Prove he’s third party and we’ll talk.
-->
@oromagi
the game concept isn't supposed to be all villains vs each other, frankly that is really shallow and unappreciative of the depth of antiheroes, antivillains and heroes in marvel universe.
I did not really think that the entire thing would be true villains throughout the cast, it doesn't mean I didn't read the concept. I skimread it, looked for key things and that's all that mattered.

@warren42
Everyone else, do we think RM is more likely to insist speed has made a subconscious theme split and work on analyzing it as scum or town?
Could be interpreted either way. Scum fishing for info or genuine town
-->
@ILikePie5
the proof will be in what he flips as, how can I bring you to the future? As for the clues, the first is how okay and keen he was to lynch inactives so much so he said it 2 times (if not 3). It is strange for him so early to be reiterating that.
Now, push that aside, Oromagi as town and as I interacted with him last game, is all about tactical prods. This game he isn't tactically 'prodding' people, he's almost whispering in a corner 'about' people intending for other people to read what he says. This is not the reaction-testing maniac I knew when he was cop last game, it doesn't even resemble him.
He is far too passive this game as well. Last game he leapt at me or would be leaping at warren the moment he scumread us for out interactions or whatever. This game, he is so gently talking 'about' poeple to question them, it isn't his town meta at all.
Why not scum? Why thirdparty? Those tells will be revealed as the game goes by, call it a hunch. The short answer is that as scum, he'd at least be attacking his own teammates or someone. As thirdparty he's scared to piss the mafia or a vigilante off, he wants to survive, it's possible his role even is literally 'survivor'.

@RationalMadman
Thematic Split inherently indicates something connecting all the mafia. There’s no subconscious way to do that. It’s possible 2 could be related and one odd one out, but it’s safer to say character is more connected to role than affiliation based on what Speed has said
-->
@ILikePie5
Character is always more connected to role than affiliation, that's a given. Think about it, there's 2-3 sides of any mafia game but many more characters than that. It's the roles that are split just as much as the characters are (especially in games without vanillas).

That’s how he plays. Willingness to lynch inactives is not indicative of affiliation. It’s how I’ve played as well. Do you think I’m third party as well?

Pressing for activity is prodding imo

I don’t think you’ve played enough with Oro recently to know what his meta is.

We’ll see. But as of now there’s no indication he’s third party or if a third party even exists

Characters are connected in games where there’s a thematic difference. Without considering this with regards to MCU, you pick 2-3 villains and create roles. Considering thematically you’d have to pick 2-3 that are somehow related. They all were in the same movie for example

@ILikePie5
I think you are either town or a very clever scum player who has read Oromagi as indeed being TP (or partnered with him but then why would you be so obvious?).
In short, I townread you weakly based on the fact that you so readily participate alone. The participation is active, in that it engages a user each time with the post angled to attack or defend (or both). This is definitely 'towny' but you are also a capable player, who would know exactly how to play aggressive while being scum.

@Vader
Supa's our only AWOL. The longer he waits the more sus he becomes.
-->
@warren42
You went in on Oro and User
Why is crocodile probably town?What makes you think RM is too hard to read? After all we are only like an hour into the day.
Oro said he "probably" wasn't vanilla in a game where speed explicitly stated in signups there were no vanillas. That's legitimately suspicious.
But also made post #24 out of nowhere.
Has everybody read up on their role? Does anybody have any early claims to make?
Is everybody familiar with the implications of ROLE MADNESS?
Role Madness refers to a type of game where most or all of the players have power roles; that is, there are few to no true Vanilla Townies. Because there are so many power roles, the veracity or effectiveness of Night Actions is very difficult to determine without knowledge of what the other players did. Role Madness games have been known to include unique roles designed by the moderator's whim as well, further increasing the potential for confusion.
Role Madness games are not to be confused with bastard mod games. In the former, the confusion stems from the sheer number of role interactions. In the latter, the confusion comes from the moderator omitting vital details about players' roles (if not lying to them outright).
Because the game hinges so much on players' Night choices and the number of possibilities to account for are so high, balancing a Role Madness game can only be rough at best. When reviewing a power-heavy game like this, the two things that must be checked for are broken combinations (i.e. if everyone claimed, could a group of players use their Night action to dominate the game? If not, could they do it after a certain player dies?) and whether any one faction can become grossly more powerful than the other(s).
The subversion of including a single Vanilla Townie in a Role Madness game has been done many times over, to the point where claiming to be a Vanilla Townie has been considered self-confirming (if not an outright Town-tell).

@PressF4Respect
"Went in on" user for asking him to give reasons for his reads. Jesus Christ dude
-->
@oromagi
Why are you asking for people to out when you and press are my scumreads (you are thirdparty in my deduction)?
I would like you and press to out and no one else, thank you.
Actually you know what? If we arrange a time for all to out, I support a massclaim. Just because even though it helps mafia work out PRs, I am certain I can then confidently tell you what the split is.
Unless we arrange that, I want Oromagi and Press to out.
-->
@RationalMadman
Mass claim as in char claims?
-->
@WaterPhoenix
you will find out that char claims are role claims once we get going on our adventure. I already have semi-cracked the code.
everyone join me in voting Press please, trust me on this.
Just read through all the new stuff and RM's play this game looks very similar to his play last game
Except this time he's on the offensive, rather than the defensive.
-->
@PressF4Respect
Thank you for your elaborate OMGUS. Which you already were attempting before but now are actively pushing for.
Do you have any reads outside of me? Last game you were interrogating everyone left, right and center.
-->
@RationalMadman
Yes, I also have reads on your fanboy Warren.
-->
@PressF4Respect
what are your reads on Oromagi, please force (yes force) interactions with him. Otherwise, I will push on you. Why you and not him? I am more sure of you and I think he's thirdparty whereas I think you are mafia.
Why do I think that? Lots of tiny reasons combined, already revealed the core principles on which I read Oromagi as TP.
