I would like to open a debate in a different language. I doubt this is allowed but I could not find anything about it in the rules.

There is nothing requiring English in the CoC. As long as your opponent is okay with it I don't see any problem.

you could debate in another language, just realize not many potential judges here can speak languages other than English.
