Tom Grennan song I loved (didn't listen due to you, already know it). It was so applicable when it was released and to do with my real life. I loved that song so much.

Like the sound of it, loathe the meaning of it; common thing I have with 21pilots and I knew them waaay before Heathens thanks to someone I used to chat to online being a major fan.

What meaning have you identified?  I haven't read the lyrics, I was just appreciating the happy, chill sound.

The aim of the song is to say taking one drug to cleanse yourself of both other drugs and painful memories is actually a fair enough way to go about life. The Chlorine is most likely ecstasy or alcohol based on the singer and past things that fans have revealed about him (the main singer of the pair) on forums and on 'genius.com' lyrics-analysis. It is more poetically taken to mean the actual catharsis of writing the kind of songs they write and make is itself the chlorine and should be so to the listener but this is not at all the meaning and here is why: The lines in the middle of the chorus are telling fans 'stop worrying about us or being too loyal to us, one of us is going through shit and the other is looking into other genres or something'. It is a song about letting yourself be cleansed of everything in a Buddhist-like manner; even love and loyalty. It is a toxic message as it isn't at all Buddhist-like what it really is implying but I am a Pagan so I totally understand this notion. I am a caffeine addict (genuinely addicted, no longer in denial) and this helped me conquer my depression and anxiety (yes, seriously anxiety) but requires a specific dose of Monster for me to be properly happy as opposed to over-wired or under-wired and will get banging headache and withdrawal. It also involved brushing my teeth very well with excellent toothpaste but other than that the risks are so worth the reward. I noticed a severe increase in my IQ (not officially tested, but I brutally notice it) as well as EQ on top of that and creativity even on top of that.

The point is, if you want to take drugs to feel good don't make out that you're being Zen-like and cleansing yourself. This is a very bad message to many people on the brink of ODing for the hell of the thrill or who are trying to quit or reduce something they're addicted to. It is so utterly toxic but so are all their songs. The song 'Stressed Out' is clearly a song many can relate to but people like me who had a totally shit childhood are indescribably less stressed as full grown men than we were as children where life was hell and school was prison (not exaggerating, I know exactly how bad prison is as I've looked into the psychological effects trying to find one single difference between it and how I felt during my school-years and it felt that bad).

Interesting.  While you've utilized coffee to cope that's not typically a behavior that would generally be associated with addiction.  If the song is encouraging addiction as a way to cope I object to that as well but as a topic it's clearly more nuanced and something a lot of artists deal with.  I'm sorry to hear that you came up rough.  I did not appreciate my childhood either and I'm less stressed now for sure.  I can't recommend mindfulness meditation enough.  I'm at it twice a day for 20 minutes.  It works wonders.

Meditation is a mindset that you can experience when fully focusing on anything at all where outcomes are not in your control and you're solely enjoying the moment. You need to have nothing to worry about in terms of chores etc and then do anything; listen to music, watch a movie. Don't play a game, you need to do something where the outcome is 0% in your control. Just ride with it and make sure it's stimulating enough for your brain and this is the perfect way to bypass the boredom of standard meditation and get the exact state of relaxation. Obviously, don't make it a horror movie but thrillers can count if you're really into the plot-twists and stuff and not gonna get stressed about predicting them.

Monster drink isn't coffee, it's more and it's better for you (but worse for your teeth) despite what the media tells you. It does come at a price though, you definitely can't efficiently bodybuild with it or something, it requires you to value mental strength over physical strength in the long run (but it does sponsor many physical athletes who I have no doubt, barely drink it at all for the sake of their body).

Yes,  well we're talking about caffeine tho.  Off the top of my head I remember monsters used to have around 100 mgs which is less than a starbucks for instance.

I agree that a mindset is the goal of meditation and you can experience a mindful state anywhere and it is similar to 'flow' or the intensely pleasant sensation of being focused on surfing or playing a guitar for intense but that's a separate state.  Meditation is extremely easy to describe, just as tightrope walking, but the training is difficult and takes years of practice in a similar way.  The goal of the practice is to be mindful in every moment of life but that is a lot easier said than done.

The kind of mindfulness you're preaching I am familiar with the preaching of. I read Art of Power by Thich Nhat Hanh start-to-end. I get the appeal, it's a lie though and a bad thing to aim for in a 24/7 sense. Aim to panic, prepare to rage, know that worrying about the future and crying and even orgasming over past and future fantasies are all completely natural and meant to occur. You'd find that the dumbest people on Earth are the most mindful; that's why all sub-human animals are gradually more and more mindful the less intelligent that they are. Dolphins are the second-least mindful creature, Chimpanzees the third etc. The most mindful creatures are probably ants or something like that (not bacteria or something, they do need a 'mind' of some kind). They need to live on pure instinct to be mindful. This is why it's most hilarious when Buddhist monks preach it, after all someone having many one-night stands and getting high on drugs all the time is very mindful indeed; that's kind of their issue.

Worrying about the future and past is completely necessary and natural to an intelligent being. It's about having enough 'chill the fuck out' moments in your life that you have the energy and mental serenity to cope with the price you pay hormonally for such worrying and concern.

It's not clear to me that we're operating under the same definition of mindful.  Being in a complete panic and being incredibly mindful of that was one of the most terrifying and inciteful experiences in my life.  The goal is to be aware and focused, not an emotional state.  Just a side effect that a relaxed experience i\s common when you actually are meditating.  Beyond that, you have a normal day.

meditate this tonight:

Can't believe I forgot about this game. Must be because I haven't played it in a while. Should really finish it since I did enjoy it. Any-ways here is the soundtrack of Nier Automata. Enjoy

I'm not sure what you're asking me. The song i posted has a similar (but different) intro. Your song was good you most recently posted. I just thought it was a good intro to the death metal song.

Okay.
Don't see the resemblance to the Nier Automata soundtrack to death metal.

The song i played starts out with a choir song... it's darker than what you played... but still. It's a choir. A lot of metal CD's start out with a beautiful assemble of choir or piano or something bc it makes the song hit that much harder when it kicks in.

Do you see anything wrong with my music?
Why do you like metal/death metal?

Nothing wrong with your music... i actually love that style. Here one of my favorites that also explains why i like metal. I'll list it below. I like metal bc i like the energy, i like that they are among the best musicians in their instruments (i am a musician), i like how it sounds dark (the song will illustrate that), i like it bc there is just so much heart that goes into it. They are literally kings among their instruments. The only other genre i think could match in difficulty is Jazz... but metal is just beautiful. There are a lot of reasons i'm probably not thinking of... but, go to a metal show (a good band) and then you'll understand. But here is a song like your song that sums out my taste... notice it's beautiful yet dark.
