GRAVEYARD

While celebrating black achievements and helping to forge new ones are very important, Louis Farrakhan (Bringerofrain) is a revolutionary black nationalist that seeks to do this at the expense of others. RBNs believe in the inherent superiority of black people. They routinely preach hate, and share a lot in common with their white supremacist counterparts. Both white supremacists and RBNs embrace paranoid conspiracy theories. RBNs also promote bigotry, intolerance, sexism, homophobia, anti-Semitism, pseudo-science, irrationality, dogmatic historical revisionism and violence. To forge new alliances with his group, the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan has  even resorted to embracing Dianetics - the harmful practice of Scientology. So at this point it's unclear if he is more committed to his own status and the status of his group, then he is to ensuring the best opportunities for black people. In this game, Louis Farrakhan is indeed a mafia Goon. He had no special abilities, but could influence the game with his voice and his vote.

In February of 1956, Charles Gittens (iLikePie5) was sworn in as a special agent, becoming the first African American to serve in the Secret Service agency. His remarkable career included a number of undercover investigations that later became high profile victories. As a special agent, Mr. Gittens protected Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson, as well as Vice President Humphrey, Mrs. Kennedy, and President Johnson’s daughter. In this game, Mr. Gittens was a town aligned Elite Bodyguard. During the night phase he could submit the name of a player to protect. If they were targeted for a night kill, there was a 50% chance of dying in their place, and a 50% chance of killing the attacker instead.

So, Pie could have either been the target of the NK, or used his role to protect the target and lost the coin flip. Impossible to say which without more info.

At this point, I think it’s worth having everyone claim. I’ll start:

I’m Claudette Colvin. I’m Vanilla. Similar to Bringerofrain, it says I can affect the game with my voice and vote. No justification.

So, Pie could have either been the target of the NK, or used his role to protect the target and lost the coin flip. Impossible to say which without more info.
If I was scum with no indicators of COP, WATCHER would be my priority target. I lean towards pie protecting me although I have no proof.

Noted. You’re basically town confirmed at this point, so I trust your judgment. I’d also believe that Pie tried to guard you, and wouldn’t be surprised if you’re the target NP3.

This DP got posted extremely late, telling me that the remaining scum member is likely a player that has been pretty inactive. As Oromagi said, that would be Croc or Supa. 

Of the two I'm actually leaning towards Croc b/c mafia seems rather inexperienced. If I were in their place I would've left Speed alive as he was prime mislynch material. 

Oromagi, I'm guessing you didn't watch who Pie targeted?

I suppose it can't hurt. 

I'm Duke Ellington. I'm vanilla. I got sent the "you have no special abilities but you can influence the game with your voice and your vote" thing too. 

I would normally question having three vanillas, but considering that this game was slapped together so quickly on Danielle's end and that one of the mafia was a measly goon, I'd say the balance is making sense so far.

Also, no one has pointed this out yet but it seems fairly obvious: the theme split seems to be black nationalists vs. other black leaders.

Out of everyone here I think Croc should be the one we pressure. He has posted next to nothing still, and as I said above, mafia seems to be made up of inactive/noobs.

Still not sure about Supa, but I agree with MisterChris - I think the number of Vanillas makes sense now that we know there was a Goon.

I'd say trying to draw attention to you makes me lean town on you, though it's not so absolute that it confirms you.

Also agree that we should pressure Croc. Seems like the likeliest one between him and Supa atm.

Was interested to see if anyone would bite. I don't want to leave him at L-1 just to get a claim, though this furthers my suspicions of him. Going to need a full claim at this point.

I'm trying to decide what role would make sense for the final mafia member. 

For one mafia to be a goon, the other member has to be fairly loaded to balance out the watcher and two confirmed protective roles plus whatever Croc claims (unless he's mafia which is fairly likely in my view). 

Maybe a mafia JOAT?
