The new President elect Jair Bolsonaro...

  • Used to serve the Brazillian military government
  • Has been an avid apologist for military rule
  • Has criticized the military dictatorship for one thing: not killing enough people

Recently, he has stated

You are my witnesses that this government will defend the constitution, democracy, and liberty.
Why has he said this?

Do you think he will coup and restore the glorious military dictatorship or Brazil, or act as a democratically elected leader?

Why would you think a coup would defend a constitution? Usually coups are when the constitution has failed.

Never stated that, I just quoted Bolsonaro.

I really don't care anyways, Constitutions are usually stupid.

No. Brazil finally has a great president. If he follows through and doesn't let the moron liberals derail him, the country will become great. It has every thing to become great. Natural resources, diverse people. Rich culture. Big enough population. No shortage of land.

All Brazil needs now is for a few of the people mucking up the country, like drug dealers, kidnappers, corrupt politicians, and career criminals to, with a gentle nudge from the security forces, assume room temperature, and the country will rise like creme to the top.

Great Presidents don't last under a liberal democracy and separation of powers. A military dictatorship would secure Brazil's future. Demoracy will allow it to crumble whenever the people begin to fall a little.

Brazil will not be a liberal democracy under Jair Bolsonaro.

Hopefully he will make a dent before he is killed or fake newsed away.

I am using a slightly definition of liberal but whatever.
Remove the world liberal with regular Democracy.

Would Bolsonaro keep Brazil as a regular democracy after being an apologist for the Brazillian dictatorship for decades?

Anyways, his dent on Brazil will be larger if he turns it into a Dictatorship. Brazil was a first world country under the dictatorship, and now it's become a sh*thole.

The criminals used to run the country and will again, the genocide of the native peoples will continue in pursuit of taking their lands by the criminal oligarchy for their own despicable right wing greed. You are just the sort of hateful ignoramus who would applaud such abomination, it is after all what your bloodthirsty pretend god would command.

If he believes his country is ready for the next step, he's not going to look back.  I think you are under estimating him.

This is sadly true. The criminal oligarch will still own most of the capital, most notably Petrobras. One man can't fix that. That's why socialism and communism needs to be fought before it takes a coup to reverse the damage.
