There is nothing more important than limiting the power of the state.

This should be a reality.

So Mr Rogers pulls out his gun at home to protect his home.

I recall at least one incident, where some person was going to house to ask for help the owner with gun shot him.

Ok that is normal behavior before and after the Civil War times out west where families are free to do whatever the please.

True liberatarians dont need know laws, no civil liberties, no court of review, no investigations of what occurred and certainly no code of ethics or morals.  Well, unless it is the word of God, that  they can recite from a  book, then its all covered.

Then there is these  these people I see more and more with pistols on their hip in grocery store, gas station etc.  Some these people may not be the quickest at draw or at stopping someone from grabbing drawing their pistol off their hip.  especially if they have been decapacited in some other way, getting access to there gun becomes even easier. So perpetrator, does not need to steal gun from hours or buy a gun where there is red flags etcs.  No they just finagle the weapon from the more and more who caring them around on their hips.

So more guns = libertarians? More guns = common sense? More guns = more peacekeeper glocks on the streets?

I like the idea of these red flag laws, as this is a way, that if you do want to go investigate the degree of mental stability of someone living in your neighborhood, you dont have to personally have dinner with them in their house, or at Lenny's.  There is the group of people who are trained to investigate and inquire and monitor behaviour and  movements.

I see no problem with even letting the people know their being monitored and movements.  McDonalds, playground, gym, work, friends home, porn sales,   shooting range,  drug deals, parties, etc.  A barking dog does not mean they will bite, but doesnt mean I have to turn my back on them either and not watch their movements.

Be smart is the best 1st choice for humanity.  Humanity was at least smart enough to know that Mutruall Asured Destruction  in 60's, 70's, 80's was nuts, so they stopped  hydrogn bomb bombers flying 24hrs round the clock in anticipation of a strike from the other nation{s}.

You are as much the State as anything else is.

How or where you find a niche within a State is down to you and your inherent ability.

You may conclude that other individuals have achieved a higher position within a State, and therefore you might feel resentful or jealous.

But I would suggest that others simply adapt to, and take advantage of, a position relative to their inherent ability.

Me....I have a comparatively lowly niche within the British State, but I am nonetheless quite content.

High status does not necessarily come with contentment.

If you cannot understand the simplicity of the point is it worth me explaining?

Nonetheless:

People allude to the "State" as if it's some sort of separate entity.

When what they are actually alluding to is their dissatisfaction with their lowly position within a State, and their consequent  resentment of others who have attained a higher position.
