Mark Meadows will either flip on Trump or go to jail.

“People in Trump’s orbit have grown increasingly concerned about what they see as Meadows’s retreat from the public scene as a prominent defender of the former president. He has reduced his public appearances, particularly on television — where he was once a frequent guest. He has not posted on Twitter in five months”

big lie  is a gross distortion or misrepresentation of the truth primarily used as a political propaganda technique. The German expression was first used by Adolf Hitler in his book Mein Kampf (1925) to describe how people could be induced to believe so colossal a lie because they would not believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously". You can see where Trump got the idea to overthrow the election of 2020. Trump kept a copy of Mein Kampf on his nightstand.

What is your point. How easy is it to murder someone? Anyone can murder another person, yet very few do it.

No. My point is that it is too easy to commit voter fraud.  There is no denying that there were numerous anomalies in the 2020 election.

"There have been 283 convictions across 36 states for voter fraud in all US elections between 2016 and 2020.
  • 144 convictions related to a presidential or congressional race: 136 cases involved one vote, three cases had seven votes or less, and two cases had an unknown number of votes.
  • The political affiliations are known for 161 defendants: 39.1% of those convicted were Democrats, 40.3% were Republicans, while the remainder were Independent, nonpartisan, or unaffiliated."

Wow, 157 fraud votes. No wonder Georgia couldn't find Trump 11,780 votes.

These are only the ones the DA chose to prosecute. If your candidate wins, no crime needs be investigated.

Trump fabricated and peddled numerous lies about election fraud.

He claimed ballot boxes were stuffed.

He claimed thousands of dead people voted

He claimed voting machines changed his votes to Biden.

They were all lies.

"Nine peculiarities about the 2020 election"

(e.g.) "2. Statistically abnormal vote counts were the new normal when counting resumed. They were unusually large in size (hundreds of thousands) and had an unusually high (90 percent and above) Biden-to-Trump ratio"

When counting resumed? Which wack job conspiracy theory are you referring to?

This article was written right after the election was finalized. All of the nonsense has been explained over the last 3 years by the people whose job it is to run elections

1. Late on election night, with Trump comfortably ahead, many swing states stopped counting ballots. In most cases, observers were removed from the counting facilities. Counting generally continued without the observers.

This is a lie. Many swing states? Which ones? Observers were removed? Says who?  This claim is written in a nonspecific way so guys like you will find it difficult to verify

The explanation is wack jobs are lying and idiots are believing the lies. And idiots aren’t able to google articles from credible news sources that refute the nonsense from the wack jobs.

Your bio says you have a college degree. Which college?

This "debunking" is written in a nonspecific way so people will find it difficult to verify. Especially using Politifact which regularly discredits an entire claim if one small detail is left out and then redefines that detail as the majority core of the claim. The apex of strawmanning on steroids.

Look

This is a forum. I posted an editorial for discussion, yet people "like you" cannot discuss but rather react.

I may not even agree with the editorial. It is for discussion.

You might want to look up the definition of "forum".

I do however appreciate that you posted a relevant counter to the editorial. Perhaps more will follow.

I was actually hoping to see some legal findings referenced.

That’s a lie. It’s very specific including the place and the polling officials doing the debunking. You constantly lie because you are a liar.

The purpose of a forum is to enhance understanding, not spread misinformation.

The definition of civil debate is conversations designed to enhance understanding not obscure the truth.

You should be well aware that over 50 federal cases were brought before judges by Giuliani and other Trump lawyers, including Trump appointed judges, and they were all rejected by the courts.

This guy from the conservative Brookings Institute counted under 50 with a score of 43 to 1 against Trump.
The title of the article is not justified if you read the article.

“In cases that his campaign brought in Nevada and Pennsylvania — one dismissed, the other pending — it acknowledged that its observers were indeed present in the counting rooms. His lawyers were, rather, asking the courts to force election officials to allow Mr. Trump’s observers to get even closer views of the counting activity”

“A judge in the Nevada case dismissed the bid, ruling that Mr. Trump’s lawyers “failed to prove” that local election officials “interfered with any right they or anyone else has an observer.”

“Mr. Trump and his allies have seized on photographs of election workers at one point using cardboard to block windows of a large counting room inside the TFC Center in Detroit, alleging that workers there were covering up nefarious activity”

“In fact, The Detroit Free Press reported, the cardboard was meant to block the view of boisterous protesters outside the room who were trying to photograph and video the workers handling ballots with sensitive personal information about voter preferences. At the time, The Free Press reported, there were 134 Republican observers inside the counting area, along with a similar number of Democratic observers”

They had lots of votes to count because voting participation was high, Mail in ballots were used for Covid, laws were made preventing the counting of Mail in ballots prior to Election Day, and Democrats trust mail in voting, Republicans do not.

And this is what a lively discussion looks like in a free forum.

I will say that my experience with those working the polls demonstrates that it is a weak point in the practice of democracy.

We had a case a few years back where two poll workers got into a fist fight over accepting / rejecting a voter.

Ideally more states will tighten the rules.

From FOX News

A U.S. Navy veteran and data scientist from Pennsylvania alleged this week that 47 USB cards used during the state’s Nov. 3 election have gone missing – and asserted that as many as 120,000 votes cast in the election should be called into question.
At a hearing in Gettysburg on Wednesday, poll watcher Gregory Stenstrom of Delaware County identified himself a former commanding officer in the Navy and a forensic computer scientist with expertise on security and fraud issues.

And then DEBUNKING

“I write to inform you and the Board of Elections that the investigation is now closed and no criminal charges will be filed in this matter,” the Stollsteimer letter read. “In short, the claim that there is a video depicting Delaware County election officials who ‘appear to be throwing return ballots into a trash can in anticipation of the election data audit’ is a complete fiction”

No ‘Missing Votes’ in Delaware County, Pennsylvania
Claim: “Missing votes. In Delaware County, Pennsylvania, 50,000 votes held on 47 USB cards are missing.”

Facts: This appears to be based on one of the claims advanced by Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer, in his effort to overturn the election results.

Giuliani brought several individuals to the Pennsylvania State Senate Majority Policy Committee in a hotel ballroom in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on Nov. 25. Among them was Gregory Stenstrom, who identified himself as a poll watcher in Delaware County and alleged something similar to this claim.

Poll workers are volunteers. They get some training before working the polls. It’s not a weak point because there are procedures in place by paid and elected elections staff and officials who provide supervision to the volunteers.

That hardly indicates systemic voter fraud or weak election procedures.

The only people lying and trying to steal the election is Trump and his psychophants.

Please explain how you haven’t sorted out the facts yet nearly three years after the election. Why haven’t you read the articles that are out there from legitimate news sources and exercised critical thinking skills?

This guy, Gregory Stenstrom, is scene here on NEWSMAX. NEWSMAX is not a credible news outlet.

It is a forum. Its purpose is to bring things into the light.

Re-examination of thoughts and ideas is the "product of the human intellectual life".

Whether the claims are "bogus" or not is less relevant than that many believe them.

Here is a news article from January 2023... "Almost a third of Americans still believe the 2020 election result was fraudulent"  https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/meetthepressblog/almost-third-americans-still-believe-2020-election-result-was-fraudule-rcna90145

Some would say" Let's not talk about it", which leaves it as a festering wound in the nation.

Others say " Let's have a dialogue; let's heal the wound".
