Description

Yep, it is what it is. Ask for anything through messages or comments. I will respond with the best of my abilities.

Though, it is certainly true that internet shortages have obstructed my ability to respond. If the internet was never stopped, the response might be submitted earlier and maybe even more elaborate.

-->
@User_2006

That was a good debate. I'm glad you did not forfeit the last round.

-->
@fauxlaw

Agreed. The system is not perfect and if you leave the page that has not updated for three days, it will show forfeiture. However this is not near as broken as the DDO version.

Something strange happened while I was entering my r3. The debate indicated to me that time has expired, but did not enter a forfeit in the argument 3rd round of my opponent, thus my beginning condolence. Don't know how it happened. please ignore my comment prior to "I. Rebuttal/Conclusion" I now recognize my opponent did not forfeit. System failure.

@User_2006

Nope, you're all good [except for your position in this debate, but, what else am I going to say about that?]

-->
@User_2006

ur good

-->
@Username

No, I didn't use it in an insulting way. I am genuinely sorry if it came out as offensive but I have no intention of it.

-->
@fauxlaw

Ah ok.

-->
@Username

Yeah, but User is my friend. I've whipped at him a few times, too. He takes it like a man, but I don 't like doing it. But if he wants old jokes, that's cool. If I can't laugh at myself, I've become useless.

-->
@fauxlaw

I understand that it's a fact, but it seemed like he was using it in an insulting way. i.e. if someone comes up to you and says "oh so this white guy's gonna accept the debate"

-->
@Username

I am an old man. I don't take umbrage with obvious facts. However, with age, comes experience. I'll take it to latent knowledge any day.

-->
@Username

I am sorry if that came as perceived offensive. It is no one's fault and I deal with it.

speaking of which, I actually think I have the easy win here. Regardless I need to put a lot of effort because a skilled debater can win whatever the hell he wants as long as he is not arguing against pure falsism. This is only near truism and my opponent might still win.

-->
@User_2006

I mean you called him an "old man" lmfao

-->
@Username

No, it is not his fault. I never said that it is his fault. I am just surprised. That's all.

-->
@User_2006

Not his fault. You made the debate + the truism.

@User_2006

Is it? Ah, there's the rub. Being an old man is advantageous. Been around the block a few times, and familiar with both objectives.

I am finally ready to change the topic, then an old man just accepts the opposite side to a near-truism?

@Crocodile

Croc is right. The use of "can" means Con would have to argue that it is impossible for money to bring happiness under any circumstance, which is obviously an impossible task.

-->
@User_2006

Change it to Money Buys Happiness, and I'll accept. What you're saying is a truism, as "can" is a terrible word.

-->
@User_2006

Definitely to a degree it does matter.
