Disclaimer : Regardless of the setup for voting win or lose, The aim of this interaction, Is for those that view it, Learn and or take away anything that will amount to any constructive value ultimately. So that counts as anything that'll cause one to reconsider an idea, Understand a subject better, Help build a greater wealth of knowledge getting closer to truth. When either of us has accomplished that with any individual here, That's who the victor of the debate becomes.

This is not necessarily a debate about what those that believe in the false doctrine of the trinity.

But it is a topic I rarely if at all see regarding the Son.

I will elaborate the topic further in round 1 but if you do have questions on the topic, please come forward and I will clarify.

Of course the onus is only on the affirmative (pro position) to stand biblically accurate. If you can't prove the topic statement true it is because you failed to provide biblical substantiation and or the counter points demonstrated your position to be inconsistent/non biblical.

Me.

Is there anybody else that'd like to come off the sidelines and take a shot?

i dont have to prove anything. God has spoken already.
when you reason scripture, its no longer about your desires, its about explaining God and his ways. When you cheapen it just to prove your ego and intelligence, you have proved that you are not of God. Infact, you are in darkness and do not abide in God.

i wont debate an egotistical fool who is unskilled in scripture and understanding. Look at my questionaire with speedrace as an example of how to reason scripture.

NOBODY can prove that topic statement. So they stay on the sidelines. It's quite funny. They couldn't prove God did not create water and darkness. They couldn't prove God the Father is a person. They or nobody can prove a trinity in scripture.

Add this one to the list, amen.

That's right, make excuses, call in and summon the reinforcements .

its no guess work. the scriptures prove that Jesus was always with God because jesus IS God.
The plan of God being in flesh was foreordained before creation.

I just have no desire to debate someone for 5 rounds when it takes 3 verses.
if you cant understand it with 3 verses, you still wont understand it if i give 100 more and thousands of my own words. And when you lose the debate, you still wont understand it. so im sparing you and me a headache.

Hey

Anybody think they can prove and don't just intend to guess what the topic is , here's your chance.

If you can't, smart to not accept the challenge.

oh i think i know what you are talking about. i can use 2 scriptures.
john 1:1 word=logos, logos=logic or plan
1 peter 1:19-20
the man jesus christ was planned before the world, God had that plan.

Ok, the eternal Son in terms of this topic, I'm referring to the Son being from eternity past not having a beginning. Hence the Son always was and that's what has to be proven. Now there's more to elaborate than this but just for clarity.

Now the person to prove this can use any scripture they think will show the eternal Son. In asking is there to be scripture verbatim eternal Son, not necessarily. However it'll be more difficulty in proving your case so individual discretion is advised.

The problem with not having words exactly read as the point you're trying to make, we begin to argue over interpretation. So it's easier and more verifiable to find scripture to get as close as you can in how it's written in exact words as possible. That's because I can just say I don't read this or that in this or that verse and all you have is the way you interpret it , see. That's why it's important and a good idea to get it as written.

if you are saying what i think you are saying. i got 1 verse, i dont need to debate you.

john 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever, but the Son abideth ever.

this proves the eternal Son.

but if you mean it a different way, like, who is the son. then consider this.
hebrews 13:8 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

@Mall

hold on now. when you say prove the eternal son. what do you mean? do ypu mean that the son is forever?

This depends. Are we allowed to infer that the bible says so? Or does it exactly have to say those exact words?

That's right folks you cannot prove this.
