Pro acts as the rapper Method Man and Con acts as K-Rino in this lyrical exchange.
Rules:
1. Both sides are expected to rap with the same style as the rapper they’re emulating, but it’s not a requirement.
2. Both Pro and Con must stay in character.
3. Dissing other celebrities is allowed, but only public information about public figures can be used. If their personal lives have been made public, then it can be used.
4. Aside from the previous rules, everything else is off-limits and No-Holds Barred.
5. Voters will quote their favorite lines from Pro and Con from each round. They will explain which rounds they lost or won. Whoever wins the most rounds wins the entire rap battle.
You talk a big game, but can't back it up,
You're just a has-been, living in the past,
You're old and tired, your rhymes are expired,
MethodMan, you stepped up to the plate
===Initial Thoughts===
I confess I don't know much about either of these rappers, but with no votes and 13 hours to the deadline, I decided to just do my best.
I thought both sides did well on lyricism, and this was a tough match to call. One big advantage of Con's is a more consistent rhyme scheme. ABAB is simple, but it's consistent and it works. Pro had a few lines that didn't appear to rhyme with anything ("Dyin’ suns don’t fade" and "Bout time you stop headbuttin milk cartons") There might be a more complex rhyme scheme here or something to try and imitate the rapper's style, but if so it wasn't very clear.
The amount of syllables in Con's line are also more consistent, so I get more of a feel for what they would sound like, whereas Pro seemed like they were occasionally trying to fit more syllables in a line than fit naturally. Con does it sometimes, but Pro does it more. On stage it might fit together cleverly, but when it's all written out, it's hard to put it together.
Content itself was kind of equal. A lot was generic, but there were some good career disses as well.
Conduct is equal. There was a ff and probably some plagiarism, so I don't lean either way there. Right now, I'm leaning toward Con, but it will depend on the final round breakdown.
===BREAKDOWN BY ROUND===
Round 1: Con
Pro's best line: "Tryna fight government corruption with your storytime introduction, / Gettin’ smoked by the bars of my divine interruption. / Do you still even function?"
Con's best line: "You lost to NIP? Well, bitch listen to this, / I never lost a battle, I'm a verbal pugilist."
Explanation: Both rappers are at their best here, but Pro has a few lines that don't seem to rhyme with anything, mainly just there to fill space.
Round 2: Con
Pro's best line: "Shame I don’t got the patience to dig wide enough. / Try not to cry, you sad lil creampuff."
Con's best line: "You try to give headbutts, but I elevate with words / Constructive criticism, to help all soar like birds"
Explanation: Con responds to a lot f Pro's attacks here (see best line) and both sides seem generic (though I don't know enough about either rapper to know for sure), but Con is responding to things so it makes their lines a bit more clever.
Round 3: Con
Pro's best line: "All the shit you say is baffling, so keep rappin’ outta tune, we’ll just keep on laughin’ because you’re just a fuckin loon."
Con's best line: "Why such a short response? Cat got your tongue / Or did K-Rino kick, all the air out ya lung?"
Explanation: Quantity decided this one, Con just has a lot more to offer here.
Round 4: Con
Pro's best line: ...
Con's best line: "You think your all cleaver, with thoughts under your hat, / But you aint got nothing buts thoughts of your cat."
Explanation: ff vs. partly plagiarized
Round 5: Pro
Pro's best line: "Gotta plagiarize my own lines just to keep up with me, old man? / You got less originality than a copycat stan."
Con's best line: "You stumbled and bumbled, you couldn't keep up / While I rocked the mic, with my sick flow erupt"
Explanation: Pro's complex flow works well here because I can follow it. It's hard to explain the "feeling" of rhythm that flows consistently, but Pro is using more complex rhymes and insults than Con does.
Other sides we will be.. a complete and detailed professional you are. a great break down. Top shelf in analysis.
????
It was a typo.
I found out from a debate challenge that Lancelot thinks Rino is said as Rhino. He listens so little to this god of rap that he never heard him say or rhyme his own name. Sad.
Even if big L hit that tier it still wouldn't happen that the other 2 look bad in comparison, they are peak.
Big L had jagged flow by nature and very little punchline quality.
A huge percentage of rap stans consider Big L to be a superior rapper to Eminem, but consider that he died before he even hit his prime.
Now if he had lived on, his style and flow would’ve evolved to the point that the Big L we would’ve gotten would have made Eminem and K-Rhino look like The Easter Bunny.

And, not to hate on Method Man as such, he is a mediocre pion compared to this:

FUCK that is just FUCK that is not that catchy, it isn't on my most replayed unlike some of K's others tracks for sure but FUCK.
LYRICAL ANNIHILATION ON EVERY LEVEL.
rhyme scheme, flow, metaphors, depth... oh god
My friend to put Big L against this:

just shut the fuck up, close your eyes and listen and know you are never ever going to be that good a rapper unless you mimic his style a bit here and there. It's humbling, bow before him. There is no shame in stanning.
He can rap about nonsense better than you can rap about your favourite topic.
:) there is nothing I can say that isn't an insult to them.
What makes you think they can’t analyze rap?
Challenge me to this please, unrated since people dont know how to analyse raps here.
It is strange, it flows like Rino but the simplicity of it is so anti Rino.
Thank you!
That is an awesome start. I have my work cut out for me.
That you much like Wylted are not nearly as funny as you think you are.
Rational. These aren’t my own words, I swear.
But Whiteflame said Machine Gun Kelly would destroy K-Rino lyrically.
What are your thoughts?
You are either going to ace this or make me hate you for taking it. Do K-Rino proud.
I actually knew Weaver didn’t know much about rap, but I was curious to see how he would vote on a rap battle that wasn’t a regular debate.
There are lots of corny rappers who are brilliant at 1v1 rap but who will be losing due to their corniness, I actually think if I were a rapper this is how I would lose a rap battle if I lost one.
You have rappers like Hopsin, Ekoh, Vin Jay, Merkules, Chris Webby, Snow Tha Product (woman) and more. They are FIRE and ALSO have shown they can truly dig in to people but somehow they come off corny and too sophisticated for most rap fans to enjoy at times. There is a whole unseen part of battle rap which is to not be too clever or deep at the wrong time if you want a dumb crowd to cheer for you.
👀
Black Thought is pretty lethal
Actually you know what? Black Thought at his most aggro could beat K Rino, he is undissable af and has fire.
The female rapper sa-roc could body anybody in the game btw. The fact she is a woman adds to the humiliation of it, giving her a severe and unfair edge even she would not feel proud to bring up or win based on. K Rino would not feel comfortable dissing a goddess of rap like that either
I mean I like them but pharaohe is more your style. I did not name my fave rappers other than vinnie. I named rappers that are Great at battle rap.
There is a rapper called Russ, for example. He is not that great at battle rap and does not need to be. Same with a rapper called Locksmith.
They are fantastic rappers but they do not exactly show the capacity to truly tear into someone personally.
I’ll give them a listen.
Tech is great but Tech is a sellout to the mainstream, K Rino would bring it up relentlessly.
If you want to ask me if I think anyone can beat K Rino, honestly potentially nobody but Vinnie Paz or Apathy stand a strong chance because they are from a ruthless horrorcore background but do not have the typical lyrical laziness or typical ways of it. Pharaohe Monch is a hybrid of what K Rino is and horrorcore rappers.
I would actually want to see Pharaohe Monch in beef but everyone is too scared and he lets them be to my knowledge. Apathy is allied with both Vinnie and Pharaohe and would far sooner align with K Rino than beef with him. Apathy is the smartest rapper ever at who he aligned with on his rise. He played the game perfectly, he has his own thing Demigodz while aligning with Vinnie's AOTP on the rise and never unnecessarily beefing despite being very capable to.

I believe Tech N9ne comes the closest to matching K-Rino, in terms of lyricism and flow.
Are you asking to do it, who I think will win or who the rap game's majority would say won?
K Rino would lyrically mutilate Tupac but Tupac would win to most, not to me and not to Type1/Sparrow who used to be here.
Tupac is like JayZ, yes he was good but my god is he glorified waaaaay too high. He was lyrically medium, he was a delivery and topic-picking specialist.
I take it Weaver isn’t your preference for voters on a rap battle?
What about Tupac vs K-Rhino?
Big L vs Eminem would potentially happen. Big L had he lived, would rap with the kind of underground horrorcore types who do not respect Em like the rest of the rap game does.
But Method Man vs K-Rino would never ever happen. Method Man knows his role, if he does not go for K, K will let him be. If he goes for K... I would be scared shit against K-Rino. He is a monstrosity. He is the one rapper Eminem was scared to reply to. Do not fool yourself.
K and Method Man have mutual respect but 1v1 there is no question who would win.
You are picking rappers who are mediocre at battle rap and amazing at rapping in groups and trying to pit them 1v1 in rap battle format. Eminem and K-Rino are battle rap GODS, you only stand a chance because the voters do not comprehend much. Like dude, Weaver gave some of my mediocres savage and savages lite... lol. I actually dont have a clue why he didn't give you more 'that was gay's you had like 2 gay bars per round
Yeah and they dont vote, athias will prefer your style esp as method man, over k rino style, so will vader.
Voters with decent rap knowledge IMO are K_Michael, Athias, and SupaDudz.

At least method man can genuinely rhyme with deadly formations.
Show me votes that are competent and show rap knowledge in our other battle and I will take this.
Weaver is not the audience I am going for.
