Create a conspiracy theory based on following these easy rules:
1. Keep it pg-13 and clean
2. Provide "evidence" that supports your theory
3. Do not use an already existing conspiracy theory.
There are 2 rounds to present your theory. Choose to reinforce your theory or rebuttle in secon round. Thats it. Have fun
Voters can use any criteria along with rules to ensure all competitors are not cheating. Also, consider what connects with you. Plus first time doing this, I don't know what direction to go with it. Cheers
brainwashing, also called Coercive Persuasion, systematic effort to persuade nonbelievers to accept a certain allegiance, command, or doctrine. A colloquial term, it is more generally applied to any technique designed to manipulate human thought or action against the desire, will, or knowledge of the individual. By controlling the physical and social environment, an attempt is made to destroy loyalties to any unfavourable groups or individuals, to demonstrate to the individual that his attitudes and patterns of thinking are incorrect and must be changed, and to develop loyalty and unquestioning obedience to the ruling party.
suggestion, in psychology, process of leading a person to respond uncritically, as in belief or action.
"Thank you for considering my testimony. I have been doing what any good dad does by plopping my kid in front of the tv to get some free time. I joined my kid in watching and singing and dancing some times. Maybe when the dishes are done or Im done eating. That's when I stated to notice this... concern. The constant depiction of over weight individuals as cows. In a childs music video no less!I was hesitant at first but the more I saw it the more I believed it. The childrens videos were depicting obese people as cows because all the cows were obese people. So cunning and brazen I thought. This is in front of us all the time. And I was supporting it. I am not sure if my kid noticed. We should notice it. "
- a) covert surveillance (passive, being recording what is being said.)
- b) covert surveillance (active, inducing the dog to walk around the house, or location, allowing the monitoring to create a 3d map)
- c) inducing behaviours, (i.e. triggering the dog behaviours for wanting a walk, wetting the floor, barking, sleeping etc)
- d) human interaction and social dynamics.
Pro's conspiracy was hilarious, but Con's seemed more well-developed, with historical evidence and statistics to support their case. Specifically, the references to the FBI and various NASA experiments seemed indicative of a well-thought-out conspiracy theory. Pro had a few links from kid's songs on YouTube, which didn't feel quite as strong. Pro also dropped 50% of the debate. That's enough to make me vote Con.
Hey-yo was very very funny indeed. I love this type of debate. It also shows how easy it is to conceive a conspiracy if you try to connect a few dots that have no business being connected.
Thank you Savant for the vote, and thank you Hey-yo for the humour and creativity setting this debate.
Huh. I guess I was off on my math. Thats ok.
I put my best foot forward.
Hey Slainte. I hope to see you double down and post like I didn't miss the round.
I was just going to add more videos and elaborate the connection between repetitive exposure in subtle suggestions and exposure to imagery.
Thanks again for accepting the debate.
Awesome. I look forward to seeing it. Good luck.
I have a great one ready!!!! This should be fun. Good luck,
