When I first put together that the people from the European socialist counties all have longer life-spans, less childhood mortality, and as reported year after year happiness is higher among these socialist countries. What exactly could someone say in response to this; "we only believe people with money,"((ometimess just money passed down without merit) "deserve proper medical care or a vacation--everyone else works for us," That's the mentality of the capitalist system : the rich and elites who make as much as the bottom 40%. This creates a power structure that is possibly going to have so much power that they will be the true deciders of America's future. Otherwise it may eventually cause us to rise up and instability.

European socialist countries

Denmark and all other "socialist" countries actually have very free markets. this is a quote from the danish PM:

"I know that some people in the US associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism, therefore, I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy."

now, let's discuss actual socialism.

Socialism claims to free us from the the market, a corrupt entity, by giving all the power to the government ("cOlLeCtIvE"), but the gov't is also corrupt. The only
current real example of socialist country is North Korea, and we all know no one wants that.

capitalism increases innovation by using incentives such as money. I end my argument.

You are right that the Nordic countries I speak of like to call it Socialist Democracies but they are practicing socialism, some more then others

I'm calling for a Bernie Sanders style of socialism but with mote to the package. Ax the wealthiest country in the world, why do we not have free university like Denmark? Why do we allow people to die due to a lack of insurance coverage for certain things or completely? Why don't we have regulations in place that limit are work weeks, increase our wages, ensure we have nearly a month of vacation, and most importantly for some families free childcare and early schooling? Why don't we by law have a robust unemployment system and furthermore a universal living wage to those who need it.

The Nordic countries are not socialist democracies, like Cuba is, but rather capitalist. Also, about the "free" stuff, how would you fund it? How would you get the materials for building it, maintenence costs, etc.? I presume you will awnser with taxes. But taxes will take away much of people's money. So instead of some rich people and the poor people can become rich, everyone is mediocre. If your awnser is to abolish money, how would you trade with other countries? What would incentivze people to pick certain carears when there's a shortage? If you awnser government force, that is a violation of freedom of the same people you want to protect. Therfore, I belive capitalism is superior because socialism is unachievable and has many problems.

a mixed market economy like in nordic countries is more akin to Keynesian economics than it is socialism, so this is actually an argument for a society leaning towards capitalism.

no one would pick the hard jobs. who's going to clean the sewers? be the garbage man?
capitalism has a answer for this: less people work that job, so the demand goes up. when the demand goes up, it pays more. people want money, so they go to that job. those people clean the sewers.

how would socialism awnser? if you do not use government force or any type of currency that indicates capitalism, how will you incentivize people?

also, the bottom 10% are richer than top 1% 100 years ago. Capitalism creates wealth. when someone is rich, it does not mean someone else is poor

I did not forfeit I never received an email reminder. If you look it up anywhere they are democratic-socialist. I understand capitalism but I fear you don’t understand socialism as it is not communism. It is simply government control over industry(not who is does what) to create a better human living condition. Again, I agree that pure socialism has not been ideal thus far but few have tried it. Corruption within the capitalist world just like you fear it could in a socialism. It was not North Korean that created worldwide poverty (2008 financial crises), it was American bankers. Lastly adjusted for inflation ,(your straw man argument) we are at a wealth gap that is insanely larger and more prevalent today than a 100 years ago.

Capitalism is undoubtedly a country's way to pave for success. Let's take Ethiopia for example. It is one of the world's fastest growing economies. It is in the middle of transitioning to a market economy if not, free market economy by 2030. In a capitalist economy, it is easier and more friendly to set up a business. If someone wanted a business to lift himself out of poverty, it would be business friendly and easy in a market economy. As for the example with Ethiopia, the IMF is predicting within 5 years, the country's economy will double. Now, let's compare it to other Socialist countries such as it's neighbor, Eritrea. Eritrea as you know, gained independence in 1991 and is currently a Socialist state. Economic growth is weak, Poverty is very high and access to internet is low.
