Description

The aim of this debate is to view this topic scientifically and gain new perspectives on earth and space/other planets in addition to human civilization survival. With that in mind, both sides of the debate along with readers are all winners.
Disclaimer: My first debate ever, would appreciate feedback from opponent & readers.

my  dead  mmak13  i pray for  u    , may      u  enjoy  the heaven ........     i  c  u   f********   the debate    , but  alright  its  ur  decision     ,  that's   Y    i've  respect   for  it........
any way  , as   U know   humans    r  ambitious      they  have  no limits   so  to  bound humans  to earth  is    the violation of  their  instinct   and    its  the violation of their  right   to fly  ..........     if  humans   decide  to   utilize the resources   of earth to explore the   different  planets  ..........  we've  to respect their   decision  as i respect  ur  decision   and right  to  Forfeited  the debate

First of all my dear AnonYmous_Icon, me forfeiting has nothing to do with the factual validity of my argument. And if you intend to weaken my position by to the fact I have forfeited and claiming it is my "Decision" (assuming that I had no special circumstances) that would be called Ad Hominem fallacy. Also, equating respecting people decision to the validity of that decision is a False equivalency fallacy. Humans have the right to explore anything and anywhere, it does not mean it is valid or sound decision. And to debate, is to prove the factual validity of a position. Which in this case is if exploring space is actually worth the resources directed to them more than exploring earth.

So, with that being put aside. We may actually debate the factual validity of both sides. Which one should be prioritized over the other in terms of resources? A desire to explore should not be prioritized over the need to explore.

Earth is all what we have and the only place we can possibly live at in the foreseen future. Also, we can potentially be easily wiped out by it faster than we could EVER reach another planet.
We know very little of current natural phenomena which may wipe us all out and humanity has no chance to stand in front of it or to protect itself, we can only prey and hope that it does not happen in a great magnitude and some of us can survive. (e.g. Supervolcanos & Megatsunami). Putting the right resources in exploring such matters rather than the fancy "Mars & Moon Missions" can actually save humanity, let alone the fact that we are directing resources towards some wishful dreams of living in environments which are not welcoming to humans at all. Still we are continuously trying to force a solution to make "the hollow, yet fancy utopian dream" happen.

Earth has been very graceful to us and has provided us with all the energy we have ever needed to build civilizations, energy which actually can be obtained, transported and used when and where needed. Yet we follow wishful dreams and find ourselves overspending on continuous research towards beneficial energy from space (e.g. solar power), and studying the sun or other stars, rather than focusing on our earth. If we had focused on our earth and spent even as half as what have been spent towards outside of it, this would have led us to an even further optimized planet (e.g. better energy sources, energy storage, healthier environment and even solar power utilization). For example, we are faced with a great challenge in storing solar power when the sun set. This is due to the huge expense of storage means despite our efforts to pump up our production of finite minerals (e.g. Lithium) or invest heavily on other means of energy storage. On the other hand, If we had focused on our planets and harvesting the energy of its core, we could have solved this problem sustainability. Not to mention a lot of other scenarios where we could have saved the planet and reduced pollution first before looking for another planet to live in just by directing resources towards exploring earth and harvesting it.

My  Dear  mmak13  😊 ,     haha
i really   c    what u  say   but   i read   the  Disclaimer too
Disclaimer: My first debate ever, would appreciate feedback from opponent & readers.
so  i've intentions  of   appreciations       but by all  respect   ,  ur  decision   and right  to  Forfeited  the  most first round of debate    demolish   them.....

i thought  i  can  never   share the  table of debate  to u  , but i really    show  my   respect  towards   u   and    if  it  possible   pardon   me  for that's  paradox

alright but now  come  to ur words   , haha
Earth is all what we have and the only place we can possibly live at in the foreseen future

yeah i agree with u  if  u say  that  some centuries  before  but    its  only   belongs  to our past  ,  but our  present and future  tell us  a    different  story  ........    ambition  humans    take risk from the    very initial      of   their     history   .......     afraid   and   stay   in   caves    .......  then    take a  risk and    fight  with     animals and  creatures    and   find   a  way to fight against  them  for their  survival   ........        invent    fire    and  a lot     ........   start  from     the institutions  of  family  to    make   cities and  states  then   conquer     what   they  don't own   ........    taking  what they  want  from  their  enemies  and    server the beloved ones
its  true  that    humans  always think  big    and  have intentions  to   expand  their   civilization   from     lands  to  oceans     from   mountains to    depth of     earth   we  found  a lot  and   now     going  to   explore  that     humans  can    never    reach
as  u think
Earth has been very graceful to us
Ofcourse it is  , but we   can't stick to it for     millions  of    years      ,  we've  to    know  what else  after this  earth    .......
Humans  have no limits
