Description

The concept of gender should be grounded in biological sex, which is defined by observable physical characteristics, such as chromosomal patterns (XX or XY), reproductive organs, and hormonal profiles. Males and females are distinct in terms of biological function, with male and female sex roles tied to reproduction, and this binary distinction has existed throughout human history and across cultures. While some people may experience gender dysphoria or identify with non-binary labels, these deviations from the male-female binary do not change the biological reality that defines human sex. Gender, as a concept tied to biological function, should remain rooted in these two categories—male and female—since they reflect the natural order and evolutionary processes of human reproduction. Creating additional gender categories based on subjective identity may erode this fundamental understanding, leading to confusion and a loss of clarity in societal structures such as sports, legal rights, and social norms.

Since both parties forfeited, this debate is likely to end with zero votes, as it should. This was a good topic of debate, but is poorly lacking in definitions, and in prep time for arguments.
And, biologically, though I agree with Pro that only two sexes/genders exist, that the genitals are definitive sex identifiers is not correct; they're merely convenient since the stats are, according to the Library of Medicine [in the U.S.], that 99.99999993 percent of the world's human population are either XX or XY, and that it is actually the set of gonads, either ovaries or testes, that actually determine sex/gender, and not the genitals [and certainly not the choosing brain], of which a very small percentage of us have both, but only one set of gonads to a customer - 100% of us.

Why did bro only leave two hours per argument

@Jasim

This debate requires:
1. Definition of gender
2. Definition of male
3. Definition of female

We clearly dont agree on definition of gender, so it is very difficult to debate without agreed definition, as we would be debating two different topics entirely.
