Vietnam is a developing country.

1. Infrastructure and Connectivity

- Vietnam has approved a North-South high-speed railway project connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

- The country aims to expand its expressway network to 3000 km by the end of 2025.

2. Energy and Sustainability

- Vietnam is revising its energy plan to focus more on solar power.

3. Digital Transformation and Innovation

- The government is drafting the Law on the Digital Technology Industry to foster growth in the digital sector.

4. Housing

- Efforts are underway to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide by 31/10/2025, improving living conditions for citizens.

5. Administrative and Governance Reforms

- A plan is in place to arrange and merge administrative units between 2024 and 2025, aiming to reduce the number of local government units at the provincial and communal levels by 50%.

6. Education Reforms

- Staring from the 2025-2026 academic year, Vietnam will implement a nationalwide policy to waive tuition fees for all students attending public schools from preschool through high school. 

- The government plans to introduce free full-day schooling for primary and lower secondary students nationwide, beginning in the same academic year. This policy includes lunch support for students in border communes. 

7. Anti-Corruption

- The government has adopted a national strategy for corruption prevention and control until 2030.
