Description

Freedom of speech is often celebrated as the cornerstone of democracy and individual liberty. But should this freedom protect all forms of expression, including those that deliberately offend, insult, or hurt others? This debate explores the boundaries of free speech — whether the right to speak freely must include the right to offend, or if society must place limits to protect dignity, respect, and social harmony. Where do we draw the line between expression and harm? Is offence an inevitable price of true freedom, or an unnecessary weapon that damages communities? Join this debate and decide whether freedom of speech must come with the freedom to offend.

One could argue we 'don't have freedom, but it's semantics.
I think there is usually 'always hidden or overlooked qualifiers and contexts in words such as 'Freedom. People are so used to them, they don't think to mention them, or even 'notice them themselves usually.

Groups of people 'have rules, Codes of Conduct, and I think us fortunate when we are able to 'choose the societies we frequent, rather than when we are 'forced into them.

I have heard it said, that “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch."
The Tyranny of the Majority.
But, depends on 'how one's Democracy is structured I suppose.

I'm doubtful 'any country 'purely practices Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

I 'do think dissent and contrary ideas can have value in society.
I 'do think there is value in defending free speech for 'most/all, a way to protect one's own by protecting another's.

Sorry I couldn't state my argument in time I think pro should win too. Sorry again.

Right to speech is acceptable until it is directed towards single person, or religion. speech also considered as tool, attacking a target by this tool towards a group intentionally must be restricted, because speech can do anything good or bad.
