Description

This is my last post on this website. It's not actually a debate, but I can't seem to post on the forums for some reason, so I'll put this post here for one last post of mine on this website before it expires, and we switch to Debate Craft.

This is the last debate argument I will publish on debateart.com, for the day after this debate, this entire website will expire. I'm not even sure if this debate will still be up if the website expires, though I suppose you could just visit this website using the Wayback Machine. If you are viewing this in the Wayback Machine, hello there! I have found myself in a unique time period in which I am still able to create posts on this website, and thus mark my presence here. But tomorrow, I will no longer be able to do that. No one will. All that will be left will be debates left for internet historians to review in the Wayback Machine to see what content used to exist there, and what people used to talk about here. However I would imagine that the content on debatecraft.com is going to be very similar to debadeart.com, considering it has flocked the same audience. Nonetheless, as it evolves, it will become increasingly different from debateart.com, until the only things they have in common with debateart.com will be from its earliest days. Either that, or it would turn out that humans really do just debate about the same things for centuries. But I think it will be a little bit of both, as things often are.

Enjoy this time period while it lasts, because after today, debateart.com will become nothing but a piece of historical documentation, presenting what happened during the time when people were actively posting things and talking to each other on the website. These aren't just pieces of text, there are real people behind them, and there was a point in time for when each and every one of them typed it out with their own fingers. And that appreciation is a fundamental property of any historical documentation, because all we see now is the documentation, but there was a time when a real person contributed, partially or entirely, to the documentation.

Farewell to debateart.com, and hello to debatecraft.com!
