Round 1
Forfeited
I respect how deeply personal the decision to end a pregnancy can be. But I don’t believe elective abortions should be legal all the way from conception to 24 weeks.
From the moment a pregnancy begins, there’s potential for a new life — one that’s slowly forming its heartbeat, brain activity, and tiny movements inside the womb. By 22–24 weeks, some babies can even survive outside their mother with medical support. Ending a pregnancy that far along doesn’t feel right when we’re also fighting to save premature babies at the same stage.
I’m not ignoring the struggles people face — unplanned pregnancies, health risks, difficult family situations. We absolutely need better sex education, affordable contraception, and support systems so no one feels trapped. But widening the window for elective abortion to 24 weeks risks overlooking how developed the fetus is by then.

I really don't understand why people host such debates if they only want to forfeit it at the end!!!
Round 3

I thank my opponent to provide me this opportunity to present my thoughts, though a little more interactivity from their side would have been appreciated.
Thank You.
