Round 1
Hello, it's an honour to be debating with you.
As we see even now, the US government is a crucial organ to the world today, not only economically, but also politically. But then. The question is how credible is it? The Venezuelan president got taken by the US govt all of a sudden, and why? It was not because of the drug allegations, no. They blame Nicolas Maduro to be running a narco state, while the USA itself has clearly been supporting multiple groups that are involved in drug trafficking itself. So, now it suddenly cares about Venezuela being a narco state? Also, it had pardoned other known drug traffickers, like the president of Honduras for POLITICAL REASONS. Why isn't this the case with Venezuela?
Thing is, the USA is not really bothered about drug trafficking. It is only a mask that are using in this situation to gain control over the vast Venezuelan oil reserves, which are the highest in the world.
This is not the first time it has happened. Another pattern can be traced back to 2003, when the USA invaded Iraq to capture Saddam Hussain, the president of Iraq saying he had "weapons of mass destruction" which were never found.
The real conflict was because Saddam Hussain had decided to invade Kuwait, giving it more control over it's oil reserves. This was against US interests, and so they decided to remove Hussain from his position.
The pattern we find here is that when a country is not ready to act independently, in its own interests, the USA does not let that happen. It wishes to gain control over the states and if that does not happen, it decides to rule it on its own. We can see that happening in venezuela right now, where the President of Venezuela has been captured and US control has been established in the state.
The United States INVADED and CAPTURED the PRESIDENT of a DIFFERENT COUNTRY and executed him in their OWN COUNTRY, blaming him for committing CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. And what was this "crime"? Not letting the USA have control over oil reserves.
